The only thing missing from SU this year is a technical piece. They would always slay JSU-Who with something so musically challenging that you laugh at the 1/8 notes/ 1/2 notes and whole notes JSU consistently play.

Not saying JSU book is better they can just compete for a while but SU book is the best in the land. Byron Shipp I didn’t say they book was bad. I simply said boring and that’s my opinion. Both bands have musicianship so SU is not alone in that category. Again the band is complete with all its components. As a band head I rather see a complete performance including the auxiliary.

Alex C That’s true but in all of my years in band everyone performs in the rain, sleet, or snow. The sponsors have a whole kit to fix hair & makeup. No excuses!
