Japanese typically don’t realize that for cultures that values direct, open and honest communication, lack of communication actually has much more potential for damage. It is important to check the tendencies of the culture one is dealing with, using the scale provided. When dealing with more direct cultures, be proactive about communicating what is on your mind, even if it is something that you think the other person will not be happy hearing. When dealing with more indirect cultures, be careful to not overpower them, and create an atmosphere where they feel comfortable communicating.

I'm starting my senior year at the University of Hawaii Manoa this fall, and boy, job hunting for when I graduate is Fun!™ I'm applying to about a dozen or so different jobs at musical instrument stores, as well as video game companies at which I would write music. It's kind of difficult to have to explain to every single company that I'll be available from May instead of late March, and moreover remembering WHICH companies I have explained that to... Any advice?

This weary grizzled corporate career drone (who's also been on the hiring side of the table) tells you: your advice applies to interviewing for *any* job in *any* country, barring serving fries at MacDonalds. OK, maybe you don't take your shoes off everywhere... 😄 PS: seeing as Loretta and Boomer each have their own channel, when is Lily getting hers? She obviously has the IT Factor and already owns every shot she's in!

Hello , Thank you very much for your informative videos.. Actually there is some points that I wanna be sure. Is it really okay to wear any type suits with gray, black or navy blue? For example, I have a navy-blue double-breasted suit.. Is it fine to wear it for any interview in Japan? I really need to know it. Thank you very much in advance.
@boomlore733 жыл бұрын
I would say that the double breasted suit might be a bit much for the interview. A blue suit is fine, but if you have a single breasted jacket that matches the pants that would be best.
@nurullahsirca88193 жыл бұрын
@@boomlore73 thank you very much for your kind answer. I understood . But a navy normal pant with any blue single-breasted jacket is not good, right? I should have a suit :(( btw, I actually don't want to bring any suit from my country... Maybe I can find a cheap suit there... Lastly, any polyester, viskoz suit is okay?? Thank you again

Without the JLPT English teaching is the easiest way to find a job in Japan without the JLPT. I have seen jobs teaching for French, but I don't know if they will sponsor visas or what they pay hourly. There are also a lot less of French teaching jobs compared to English Teaching Jobs.
