Miss: I love your attitude. Husband is a little down because of the weather and road. No problem. This is part of our lifestyle. No complaining.

Adam you made the very best decision . If it started to snow in the night you be in trouble not being able to drive out. Second spot is outstanding but cold.🥶

I knew it was a bad choice once we passed the gate but I had no place to turn around. Getting turned around was an adventure all in itself 😰

Yeah, i was thinking that first campground & road looked awfully adventurous! One of the campsites there didn't look too crazy, but i would've been freaked out myself and imagining mutant monsters behind every tree. Darn those horror movies!

Do you use any trip planners when planning your adventures? Reviews seem to be all over the map for campgrounds. You guys do an amazing job of selecting campgrounds. I would rather deal with cold weather than busy campgrounds. Peace and quiet for me is very relaxing.

We have been using the Campendium app for the last year to help find BLM and Boondocking sites. Otherwise we usually stick to Google.

The Ely area is great for its camp sites the cold is quite different from what you are use to with the lack of humidity

Thank you for the video. Just a heads up about your lithium battery if it doesn't have self-heating don't try and charge it below 32* it will crack inside and be no good. ;-)

Ours has a self managed heating system built into it.

Is the underside of your Kodiak insulated? Do you have any issues with your water or waste tanks freezing?
@AbomAdventures8 ай бұрын
Our underbelly is heated from the furnace so no worries about the tanks freezing. The Kodiak does just fine for short term freezing like that.
@eagle20198 ай бұрын
@@AbomAdventures Thank you! Interesting, never thought to use the furnace to heat the tank area. Love your videos. I've been watching your machining videos for years. Just recently started watching your RV videos. Both channels are excellent!! Thank you!!!

Nice place...but I'm betting you guys would've waited just a touch later to start this trip if you could do it over. Even just a couple weeks would've made a big difference in those temps.

I don't mean to sound Like I know-it-all But I have some well-meaning advice for you First thing stand your windshield wipers At attention Second thing If your truck hasn't blocked you're fired up first thing in the morning with generator Third thing if your truck doesn't have a Oil PAN Heater Get one And last but not least Your washer fluid should never be able to pass a sobriety test😅
