I have that exact model, it is also helpful when we are on the road, stop for lunch and plug into the Bluetti for coffee maker or microwave usage.

Really helps for boondocking...gives us almost double the capacity.

That's a nifty tool to have, especially for a smaller rig. Enjoy your alone time😉

Haha...everyone needs a little alone time especially when we are all living in about 300Sq Ft of space.

Very interesting, thanks for sharing your experience with us. My sister and brother in-law have one and used it for the first time last weekend and it worked great. They only have a 1500 but did very well. Thanks From Wisconsin

Thanks for watching and commenting. Yes...given the size of this little rig...it makes sense.

We have a Bluetti as well and love it for boondocking. As we don't have an inverter in our rig it gives us the ability to run our coffee maker which is paramount to having a good day 😉

Agreed 100% on on the coffee...haha. These make a lot of sense.

Hi Ken! Great video! Great gadget! Pretty cool to use for when power goes out or use for extra plug ins for electrical use. Simple to use. Thank you Ken! Tell Pam I miss her. Hope she’s having fun with your daughter. Say hello to Pam for me. Enjoy your alone time! Hope you had a great Labor Day and weekend. Have a great week. Safe travels and see you soon!

Given the size of this "little one" the Bluetti takes up minimal space and the difference in $1500 ( of course he provided the unit in exchange for a review) versus about $9K it was an easy decision!!

Hi Ken, how heavy is this and how do you recharge when traveling? Or do you wait until you have shore power? I'm thinking how convenient this would be over a regular generator to use for lunch stops vs lugging out the gas generator, but I think there is still a need for both. Thanks for sharing this!!
@TheRoadSMITHS2 ай бұрын
Hey Matt. Thanks. It weighs 62lbs. So not light but compared to our 4000w generator it’s light. If your truck has an AC inverter you can put in in the back seat of the truck and charge as you drive or a cigarette lighter, which will be slower to charge. I think your use case makes perfect sense as well. But yes still a need for an additional genset for Air Conditioning.

@@TheRoadSMITHS Thank you!! That's not too bad, considering when we travel we take everything but the kitchen sink. 🤣

Why would you need a surge protector? Where you get any surges from?
@TheRoadSMITHS2 ай бұрын
Probably don't need one, but its just an added "insurance" policy to protect the rig.
@adventureswithjack58132 ай бұрын
Not understanding why you would need a surge protector with the Bluetti device.
@TheRoadSMITHS2 ай бұрын
Really dont need it...but its just an insurance policy to protect the rig wiring.
@bobmakow552 ай бұрын
Actually you have an inverter. There is one in the Bluetti. I use to do the same thing with my Ecoflow Max.
@TheRoadSMITHS2 ай бұрын
True...and did mention that in fact it is a pure sine wave inverter. But the key is that it adds capacity over in on board inverter.
