To me season 1 will always be the best because of how political and social it was. It's what makes the show special to me. Sure, season 2 and 3 didn't stop tackling on important issues, but they toned it down A LOT and started doing much more parodies, especially in season 3. Not to say that those seasons are bad, but they're just not as good as season 1

When I first saw this trailer I was so hype. The wait was too long for season 4 to come out in my perspective. By the time the season was over I was extremely dissatisfied. Thugnificent wasn't there, Gangstalicous wasn't there, A pimp named Slickback wasn't there, Cindy wasn't there, Not even Ed the third and Gin Rumy were there. Almost all of my favorite Boondocks characters were gone without a trace, and there were only TEN fucking episodes!!! If they ever make a fifth season of the boondocks, I hope all the characters are there and I want the show to be run by the most important person of the series AARON MCGRUDER!!!

Boondocks is a gem among cartoons, by far the best thing on Adult Swim. Never have I heard more relevant social commentary gathered together in one place than in a single Boondocks cartoon. Brilliantly conceived, flawlessly executed. Riley is completely good, he is the conscience of the show. His little brother is such a brat, LOL! Grand-dad is so funny, and Uncle Ruckus is shocking but hilarious. Hats off to Boondocks, they could teach Peter Griffin a thing or two. Aw, but I still love ATHF as well, LOL!

I have to say, without Aaron Mcgruder, I feel that the show will have lost what it wanted to portray when he was still on this show. Compared to season 1 and season 2 the animation has gotten a whole lot better. That's one of the reason why I like The Boondocks and The Legend of Korra because the animation technique is a lot more smoother and cleaner than most of the other American cartoons out right now. I wish more 2d animated shows looked like this, too many cartoons look like Adventure Time now. I'm not saying its a bad thing but, it's nice to have a serious animated show from time to time. From this trailer you can already see that without Aaron Adult Swim has gone a different path from what the original 3 seasons were about. I just hope it's not filled with stupid stuff each episode just to boost ratings.

I wish this is what american 2D animation would look like these days. Characters move with different types of movements that are drawn in detail, camera angles that vary and give you interesting viewpoints of objects. I feel like these days most american 2D animation TV shows look like Family Guy

@@ntbored7727 basically they went broke and the touch of it has been lost, it's lost its gem in s4 even though the artstyle is golden in this season, it got bland and a little boring also it ended on ep 10 with no true finale. Which is understandable since it got cancelled but still it was very disappointing

For everyone who hasn't seen the first episode of season 4. The show is still very hilarious, maybe not as funny as season 3 was, but definitely still funny and worth watching. Actually just the show being back on air with new episodes was enough for me. Just happy to see it back one last time.

Season 4 felt missing without Aaron Mcgruder. Whoever wrote season 4 DID NOT live up to the expectations. The only thing that was good is the animation Aaron was the reason why the show was good. He tackled lots of social issues and stereotypes. Its what made the show good in the first place.

Keeping my expectations realistic for this one. McGruder leaving is going to cost it some of its more poignant parts, but the art and actors will be just as good. My predictions: Superficial use of n-words for the sake of shock value will probably increase. The non-superficial, meaningful stuff in this season is probably going to be toned down to pander to a wider and/or whiter audience. It's clear from the retcons that this show was meant to end two seasons ago.

Anything that becomes mildly mainstream in the U.S. will always have a lot of white fans, even if its not targeted at them, the show already has a lot of white fans regardless, the reason why this show Is coming back is due to popular demand, so I doubt that they are desperate for a wider audience, but the show always had deeper subtext and meaning to go along with its pop culture satire, and shock value antics, you can believe that without Aaron Mcgrudger, the show will now be dumbed down, don't be such a hipster, season 2 & 3 were fine. Honestly I don't know how they could increase the use of N-word any more than they do.

I knew the minute I heard about this it would be different then the previous three seasons. However, that being said it doesn't necessarily mean its a bad thing. I watched every boondocks episode, even the unaired ones. I think due to nostalgia people tend to remember the show being alot funnier then it actually was. Not that I'm saying it didn't have great epodes because it did. But some of the episodes were more designed to send a message then make people laugh. The Martin Luther King episode for example. This episode was laugh out loud funny, but it did send the message across pretty well. Plus it was nice to see an episode that focused on Tom for a change. Hell even Ruckus got a couple of episodes that were centered solely around him. At the end of the day, I think the new writers haven't done anything to warrant as nearly as high as a reaction as some of the fans of McGruder have been giving it. This is the final season, after this there won't be anymore. So lets not sit and complain about something is never going to be like how it originally started and try to see the good in it. That being said, if the episode is just bad there won't be any con doing it. But this episode wasn't bad, it wasn't the best boondocks episode i've ever seen. But it was far missing the mark.
