I bought the X T-5 because I have experience with the X T-1 and X-T-2 so I feel more confident with the X T-5. However my Corel Aftershot software won't recognize the raw X T-5 files. I'll be happy when Corel produces a version compatible with the X T-5! Pax Vobiscum

By far the best comparison between these 2 cameras. You just nail the reasons for the choice. Both cameras are superb but the ergonomics and the other features for the relatively small increase in cost has sold me on the H2. Your manner in distilling the points into practical points is outstanding. Many thanks for assisting me with the choice. I have the Xt2 which I have used for many years and will keep this for a light weight compact camera for street and travel and use the H2 for more studio work and using large lenses. Well done again. This was hands down the most helpful video I’ve seen, thank you so much! I’ve been agonizing for the past several days wondering what I should get to upgrade my x-t1, and while I’m a value oriented guy and recognized the value and understood I don’t need the video, I just couldn’t let go of the dials of the xt line until you explained the ease of the pasm and the pistol grip. A very good video and thorough analysis. You missed two things about the X-T5 though. One, it is 4-1/2 oz lighter than the X-H2 and second is that the screen is a three-way tilt not just two-way. I tried both of these cameras and chose the X-T5, the noticeable lighter weight and size being one of my deciding considerations. Another deciding factor was the $200 extra body cost plus another $200 -to $300 for new memory cards that cannot be used in any of my other cameras. The side tilt option on the screen is very good for low shots with the camera in vertical orientation and also candid sideways shots in horizontal positions which I like but was not a deciding factor. I have been making photos for 75 years (yes, since 1948) and I prefer dials, and since I wear trifocals I can glance at them easily and I do not care for the little display screen on top of the X-H2.. I use only prime lens and I can count clicks on the aperture ring from my preferred setting without looking and often I use a fully manual lens. I have never shot videos nor do I intend to. The same goes for selfies. And I only shoot RAW so 90% of either of these two cameras (and other digitals) is a waste of space and money for me. Overall the X-T5 is the one that best fits my own needs, and I appreciate your detailed analysis of the two as it convinces me that I made the right choice for my style. I just recently happened onto your channel, and it is so refreshing to hear from a real photographer as opposed to the predominantly adolescent reviewers whom I turn off as soon as I hear the word "awesome".

I will have to rent both bodies to evaluate the ergonomics. I personally prefer the PSAM format and I’ve been shooting, (developing too ) since ‘64. I like keeping m6 eye in the viewfinder and PSAM , the XH2 would allow 30:04 me to do just that. Certainly can learn the XT 5 with John Peltier videos. The weight and size are extremely important so renting will help me select the right camera for me. I also shot with a Sony RX100M7 a true pocket camera with 20+ mp and a great back up.

I've been using an X-T4 with Fuji long glass as my "lightweight" kit for avian photography. I have to admit my preferred cameras have been a pair of Nikon D500s for one big reason... these Nikons were really designed for sports and nature and have HUGE buffers. Plus the RAW files are gorgeous and easy to work with. But there is something magical about Fuji colors. Anyway, I was set to grab an X-T5 (my X-T4 is on eBay) when I learned it still had the tiny buffer of the X-T4. I don't sit on the shutter typically; I shoot in (hopefully)well timed bursts to capture peak action. But occasionally I ran into some bald eagle aerial battles where the action was hot and heavy and I found myself holding the shutter down much longer than usual. My Nikons can fire off about 240 RAW files before the buffer fills and starts to slow down. My X-T4 pooped out several times one day while shooting some heavy eagle action. Exasperating and I switched back to the Nikons that day. Since the X-H2 has a MUCH bigger buffer, that is a major plus. The Nikon D500s also use the Compact Flash cards anyway and I have a lot of them. As much as I love the X-T4 aesthetics (my first camera was a Nikkormat film camera), looks don't make images. I also have a Nikon Z7II which is more in line aesthetically (and functionally) with the X-H2. And I love it at work where we do event photography. But I think the X-H2 with the Fuji 100-400 and my new Fuji 150-600 should be just fine. Still keeping the D500s (both have shutter replacements done at about 2 million activations, well past their stated useful life). Old habits die hard. I have lots of Fuji glass and am really looking forward to the X-H2!

I went for the X-H2 essentially for the better grip and better viewfinder. The X-T5 grip is fine only if you use small primes but forget handling big zooms or high end Fuji primes for a whole day with it. Admittedly, the PSAM is a better way to manage a camera and the customs settings are finally much more convenient than I thought. Yes I love the retro look of the X-T5 but if you look for higher efficiency, the X-H2 is the way to go. The perfect combination would be an X-H2 + an X100V for lighter / more discreet shooting sessions

I know I'm here late, but the grip, illuminated top screen, vertical grip availability, and PASM dial made the x-h2 a no brainer. Especially as a photojournalist

I like consistency. I like to work with either PASM or dials. The idea of going back and forth between the wheels and top dials to set the aperture or shutter speed to me defeats the purpose of simplifying things which is what I loved about film cameras in the 80s. They had the triangle plus compensation on the top dials and the aperture on the lens and that was it. I was hoping I work with dials all the time, which intuitively seems the way to go. Upon thinking about this and finding this video, I have come to the realization that the X-H2 would work better for me simply because if I had to remember every time which combination of dial settings I need to set to be in a particular shooting mode, that would drive me insane. Also, the idea of working sometimes with old style dials and sometimes with a wheel to set the shutter speeds is definitely a deal breaker for me. Again, I don’t like hidden stuff but if the camera has quick-access and coherent combination of buttons for adjusting/checking the iso, aperture, shutter speed, and exposure compensation, then that’s a winner to me. Secondary buttons to me are white balance, autofocus and shutter modes. If those are also easily accessible through a shift-second-button combo, then everything else can be shifted to menus. The nice thing is that white balance is already a dedicated and quick-access button on the X-H2. So, with the X-H2 you get the triangle on the wheels and the iso and white balance through quick access buttons, what more do you want? That is 90% of what I use. At one point size mattered to me but after holding both, that became a moot point for me. Someone looking from the other size of the lens won’t notice the size difference. The H2 does feel a little heavier but will probably feel more balance with larger lenses. The location of the stick and the number of customization buttons are a great bonus in the H2, but then you add the larger buffer, and this makes my choice easier. Video is secondary to me; either camera would have worked fine for me in this area. I do think for strictly photography, the LCD tilt style on the X-T5 is better. For videographers, not so much. I am sure other folks will like the X-T5. I love the look of this camera 100%, but in the end, I’ll go with the boring yet practical camera for me. I know myself. Thanks to Fuji for giving us options.

I recently received my X-T5 and am quite happy with it. I am happy to see that Fuji seems to be different in lines a bit where X-H is truly hybrid (PASM + Vari angle screen) and X-T is primarily photographic in focus with exposure dials and 3-way flip. They had a few years where they were trying to find themselves with models and it seems they have figured it out. I am really loving my X-T5 (with MHG-XT5) as it pretty much is perfect for me. No real complaints. I did try out an X-H2s for a week rental, and did find it to work quite well, but I just can’t stand the vari-angle screen for my shooting style…I would rip it off eventually as it would get tangled in the strap and the PASM dial just isn’t something I like. Again, so happy we seem to have a clear-er differentiation in lines and chooses in the Fuji lineup.

Thanks for a really helpful video! I think if I were shopping for one of these two as my primary working camera, I'd be right there with you at the X-H2; but I'm actually looking for something my wife might occasionally be willing to tote and use for light duty to get better photos than a phone, and the X-T5's smaller size and slightly lighter weight work in its favor - and it's nice to look at, which ain't nothing. I like that both of these seem to use the same batteries as the GFX cameras, since I've already got a couple of those chargers around the house, and my use of the GFX 100 II has sold me on how close to a usable photo right out of the camera I can get using one of the Fuji film looks (a feature set which seemed nothing but silly until I actually used them, having found out that they're also available for raw files processed in Lightroom)! ...and to correct just one thing in your video: the X-H2 obviously isn't Fuji's best camera, that's the GFX series and in particular the GFX 100 II now. I'm absolutely gobsmacked by the quality I'm getting out of that damned thing, even in low natural light. But it's huge and heavy and expensive, as are the lenses. But don't try one unless you want to risk buying one! The 55/1.7 is an addictive choice of glass to go with it, or the 110 if you're a short tele person.

I love the old school feel of the X-T line but also the physical handling (and IBIS) of my X-H1. Trading my X-H1 now for an H2 but keeping my old X-T3 so the best of both worlds. Thanks for your walk through of both models. It’s worth pointing out that the PASM dial is a marked change to even the original H model.

Nice video, thanks :) I already have a XT5, loving it, but i want a second camera for my professional shoots (documentary style). So a second camera for having a back up, but not only. Also for having one prime on each body (as I don’t like zoom), carrying both cameras with a double strap. First I was going for another XT5. Same ergonomics, same tactile memories for using both, it seems the natural way to go. However, the XH2 could be a good choice too, especially in order to use bigger lenses on it (potentially a 50-140. The 18mm will be mainly sticked to the XT5, and longer focals lengths on my future second body, XT or XH) but I know there is a good grip available for the XT5 (even if it’s not a battery grip). I’m also afraid that I could get confused in the different ergonomics with one XT5 in my left hand and one XH2 in my right 😅 but I probably could get used to it as you do with the non-clickable wheels. I don’t do video neither BUT it’s an option in the future so having the XH2 specs could be a good thing indeed. Any thoughts on that? Do you shoot with one body only? Thanks :)

Thanks for this video. I do almost exclusively photography and was excited about the XT5 until I found out that it is the first XT camera not to offer a vertical grip (battery grip). The extra battery is nice but I have used the grips more for the vertical trigger shooting portraits and I like the switch to go from normal to boost mode. I got lucky with a recent sale and was able to pick up the XH2 with a free Fuji battery grip for only $150 more than the XT5. I also have large hands and so I actually spent the same amount of money as getting the XT5 with its Fuji grip, which, of course doesn’t give you extra power or a vertical trigger. Plus I also use the viewfinder much more than the back of the camera and the extra resolution is also wonderful. And right now you can get the Fuji grip by itself on sale for half price for $199. at B&H and other retailers. Honestly, once you have tried a grip with a vertical trigger for portraits, it’s just awkward not to use it.

My primary reason for preferring the X-T5 LCD screen function is for landscape photography where I need an L bracket. The screen in the X-T4 and the X-H models does not play well with an L bracket.

What I like about Fujifilm is that they upgraded their cameras for a specific photographer need’s without having to break the bank. I’ve been shooting XT3 for quite sometime however I need a camera for wildlife photography especially BIF. I don’t need to spend 2 grand XH2S and change my SD cards. Hi Booray, I'm a photography enthusiast & I have the X-T4 & the X-H2 as well. I've got to say what you describe in your video about the ease of use of the handgrip, PSAM dials, EVF Flip around screen + etc is so so true . I was hestitating to get X-H2 & X-T5 in the begining as well. But now, I'm glad to say I know I've made the right choice especially when I'm shooting with both cameras (on a Holdfast MM Bridle Leather) each with a XF Fuji prime lens at a wedding event recently. The whole experience on the X-H2 was so much more better plus the ease of use & speed totally as you've descibe in your video. Another thing I would like to add is, the buttons, the joystick & the whole feel to the camera in general does somehow feels much more premium. Thanks for making this video Booray. Cheers ;)

Thanks for watching! I know that I am in the minority on this. Fuji fans love the dials and I get it I really do. I love them too and if I was just a hobbyist I would use the X-T5 (or maybe if I just shot smaller primes) but once the big zoom goes on the camera I want the X-H2. I also think that the people who love the dials tend to be people who don't change there setting as often as I do and maybe don't require reading glasses to read them :)

Great video and I agree with you. I bought both and am using both for now, but I think I might keep the X-H2. It feels better in my hand, a better grip, the EVF is so much better than that of the X-T5. I love the new 56mm 1.2 lens, but it just looks a little too big on the X-T5 body. Close call, but the X-H2 probably the better camera for me.

That's hard to say because those two cameras are designed for different purposes. If you want a camera that you can carry with you everyday then I would stay with the Leica. If you want a camera for professional work then I would switch to the Fuji.

For me (having an X-T4) , the only truly compelling reason I'd like the X-H2 is for the sensor. I really feel they shortchanged the X-T5; especially the flip-screen, a real deal breaker. But for now, I'll stay with my X-t4 since you rarely (IMO) need the difference between 26 and 40 MP. Great video; really a good insight to what matters!

I also kept my XT4 over the XT5. I feel like the build quality is a downgrade and you're not getting your money's worth to justify the price difference between the XT4 and XT5 however I really wanted the 40mp because I like to crop in sometimes and recompose and opted for the XH2 to accompany my XT4. I feel it's worthy of the price difference because of the better ergonomics and weather sealing and the EVF.

@@michamilka you know, you make a very good point about the X-T4 build quality. When I first got my X-T4, I was amazed at just how classic and expensive feeling it was. To this day, every time I pick it up (I have the silver version), it reminds me of the really nice cameras of the past that used film. This may sound funny, but I really feel that when a device that impresses you with its feel, lends itself to you doing better and more serious/precise work because you’re inspired to be using such a fine instrument. I also, do-not like how they changed the ergonomics of the X-T5; I feel that Fuji took a step backwards on this. I have never seen an X-H2 in the flesh, so we’ll have to check it out. I too, do a lot of cropping and yes, 40+ megapixel would be better for sure. But I’ve decided to just be more mindful of what I think I would likely have the cropping to be. So even if I get a bigger sensor in the future, I will certainly keep my X-T4. And even though some people feel it excessive, sometimes it’s better to just buy an additional item, even if it’s more expensive and keep your original one. Too often, I’ve been most-regretful of getting rid of something I was fond of, just because I thought I should sacrifice one for the other. Thanks for bringing this up, because I was a little bit timid to mention it! 😉

@@BoorayPerry I was wondering if i had edited this presets in computer with 1/6 step EV values for exposure bracketing and then export this edited presets back to camera, if this shutter speeds would work? Probably not. Sometimes the camera interface is limited displaying 1/3 stops, but it can take any number and round to closest working shutter speed.

Everywhere I check the difference is $300, not $200. But, I still agree that the X-H2 is a better value. However, even with big hands, I went for the X-T5. I am not a professional, but a hobbyist. I never shoot video. I love the retro SLR look and feel in use of the X-T5. It has a better grip than either my X-T1 or X-T3. The X-H2 would not make me want to pick it up and shoot. I find it easy to make quick on the fly changes with the dials on the X-T series.. The X-T5 is my X100v.

You can pick up aftermarket L Grips for the X-T5 to improve ergonomics, the Fuji one is a ridiculous price but there are much cheaper options, smallrig one for example.

Loved your video! Wish I'd found this video before I bought my camera... It would have made the decision a whole lot easier. I spent a long time agonizing over the choice between the XT5, the H2, and the H2S. Ultimately I went with the H2 and everything you said in your review confirmed that I did make the correct decision. I've been shooting an XT4 for 4 years now. I shoot professionally, I also do quite a bit of video but nothing fancy just basic talking head stuff. I am super happy with the H2. Lots of people claim there's not much of a difference between 40 megapixels and 24 megapixels but I disagree. I was blown away by the image quality, totally happy. I was thinking that I should probably plan on getting an H2S to compliment the H2, but now that I've been playing with the video on the H2 I don't really feel the need for the H2S, at least not for what I do. The H2 video is just fine. I also was not too fond of the idea of the compact flash, but the reality is the CF is faster and that's why they chose it. If you want the high performance results you've got to have the hardware to support it. I have pretty big hands, the ergonomics of the H2 suit me just fine. I think it is more comfortable to hold than my XT4. I like that big bulge it gives me a solid grip on the camera. This is the first video of yours that I've seen, you did such a great job with it I guess I better subscribe. Have a great day!

@@BoorayPerry something I don't remember you mentioning in your review is the improvement in the low light sensitivity. I often shoot in "available darkness" and I'm usually operating close to the edge of what's feasible. So far what I'm finding is that the light sensitivity of the H2 is about twice that of the XT4. I don't know how they are pulling this off... Double the resolution and double the light sensitivity! That's not even supposed to be possible. But they did it.

Than you for this comparison. I recently bought into the Fuji System (XT5) and have purchased a lot of glass for it. It was meant to be second camera to my work camera, a Sony A7R5, which I also have a lot $$ invested in glass. I love both systems for very different reasons. There's just something about those Fuji images though! It has taken time to get used to the cool dials and yes, I love the way it looks and performs. I would like to use it has my second camera for an upcoming wedding, but you're so right about the dials slowing you down. I have been afraid to take the chance of getting myself all confused. I'm not ready to come out of the Sony world and this video really helped me to realize that if I trade up to H-H2, bouncing between the cameras will be a whole lot less complicated with the PASM dial. I can even set up both cameras very simliar. Wish me luck! lol

You're absolutely right about the shutter button! this is why I always loved Canon's ergo's.......the XH1/2 thinly fujis that feel nice in the hand....and I have the XT4.

I have both cameras why ,why not, they are both very good camera, the biggest difference is not what is in the body but the body itself. So I use the XH2 for larger glass, I don't shoot video, I'm a stills photogrpher.and I photograph a bunch of different subjects some require larger lens like the 100-400 mm Fujifilm lens, it just works better on the XH2, the XT5 and other Xt bodys is just fun camera to use.

Here in Lima Fujifilm has them both on sale, and curiously they end up both at the same price with the n16-80mm f4. Actually , the XH2 was 50$ less !! so that closed the deal. I bought the XH2 :)

Thanks for your video! However, I need to disagree on the "memory cards" part. I don't shoot video either, but I do like to shoot burst mode of action (wildlife, sports). The CF express card allows you for continuous burst, without filling the camera's internal buffer.

Great video, but there are some mistakes in this video. The viewfinder of the X-T5 is also 0.8x magnification (not 0.75x as mentioned in the video). The screen resolution of the X-T5 is 1.84 million dots and the X-H2 has 1.62 million dots (it was backwards in the video)

Yes. One of the great things about Fuji is that they only have two lines of cameras. The x line which is APS-C and the g line which is medium format.

It will be interesting to see what happens with the X-pro 4. (Hopefully a different LCD). How do you like the erganomics of the X-pro 3 vs the Xh-2? I got to hold a Xh-2s yesterday and thought it felt a bit "thick". It did feel better, however, than the OM-1. I'm strongly leaning towards the Xh-2. I like the Sony a7iv but to get a lense with an aperture ring you have to buy g - master glass which is very expensive.

That's a bit more expensive than "kit lense" but as a system starting point it is almost perfect and still around $2,800. I could the later add a 35mm 1.4 and these two would do 90% of what I want to do. Extremely less expensive than a Sony A7iv with equivalent g-master glass or a similar Canon system.

I have an XT3 and XT4, and love them. I got a chance to shoot an XH2 for a couple of outings. I loved the feel of the H2 and I really liked the EVF. I'm a landscape photo guy and since I use an L-bracket, I'm happy the remote release port is back on the right side like the XT3. I'll be saving for the XH2. Thanks for the video!

I don't know the X-T3 well but I don't think it has IBIS. Also, the auto focus on the X-H2 will be much better and it's 40mp. It's a considerable upgrade I think but do you really need it? That's the question. :)

Theoretically as big as you want. The files are 7728 on the long side. Most printers recommend a 300DPI image min. So, 7728/300 = 25. 25 inches on the long side. However, that's not taking into account "perceived size." If you stood a comfortable viewing distance from the 25 inch print, then you printed it at 50 inches and stood the same distance, it might not look good because it is 150DPI. BUT you wouldn't stand the same distance, you would back up which would make the image shrink in your vision to something closer to the 25 inch print... making it 300DPI in your vision. This is how billboards work. They are not printed at 300DPI because no camera can shoot that image. Add to this the ability to upscale an image and the sky is the limit.

I was using three XT4 bodies for weddings. I now replaced two of them with XT5s. I’m liking the cameras, but find the RAW files are a lot more contrasty and more prone to magnenta. Did you notice that or with the XH2?

I've been reading and watching videos about the new Fujifilm offerings since the 3 new X cameras came out. The X-H2S is fine and will be a great in its intended market. I personally would have preferred the X-H2 and the X-T5 to be ONE camera. I do like the dials on my X-T4 but I could live easily with what the X-H2 offers.

I find the X-H2 to be just as good as the X-T4 in low light. I shoot at 3600 all the time and will go to 6400 if the situation demands it.

Great discussion. I was planning on buying an X-T5 but now I'm back on the fence. I really wanted a battery grip but that's probably not going to be an option going forward with the X-T* line. I think I may wait a year or so and pick up a used one or save my money and see what Fuji releases in the future.

Hi Booray, great video. I agree with you regarding the ergonomics of the X-H2 being better than the X-T5,particularly since there is NO battery grip option for the X-T5. ( I have large hands, hence I have battery grips on both my X-T3 camera bodies. I am heavily invested in Fuji glass, but at the present time, I will not be upgrading to the X-H2 or X-H2S. I am interested to see if if Fuji can finally get Continuous Auto Focus on the same level as So ny, Canon or Nikon, as I shoot high school assignments including sporting events & candid events. I, like you, was a LONG TIME Canon shooter. I felt changing over from the EF lenses to the RF glass had become cost prohibitive for me.

I would choose the X-T5, because i don't care about video, and i think, i have to lern how to use the gear, instead of the gear has to adopt to my inability. I went with xt5 because I liked my xt2 and xt3 so I changed for the larger sensor did not have to relearn how to operate. I went thru that pain when when I switched from Nikon DSLR (800e,7200) for less weight before Nikon had mirrorless. I agree ergonomics of the H2 would be better when I use my 100-400 but not a biggie for me. So far happy with xt5 and will probably get a another one for I like the same camera for my backup too.

I like to shoot my 100-400 handheld for bird / wildlife photography (tried using tripod, gimbal, etc.) I have an x-t3 and it's a rough combination to hold. I don't have large hands but I end up keeping my L-bracket on the body for more area to hold onto. I've been going back and forth on the XH-2 but I'm not a fan of that flippy screen. Decisions. I am a new subscriber to this channel and current Sony aps-c user for years (2014). I don’t want to go full frame, I take photos for my personal enjoyment, family, travel, church events. I take a lot of photos of planes at museums and boats at boat shows. I am invested in a bigger printer at home. Would 40mp give me more definition, detail then my current 24mp? I use sigma glass (trifecta). I don’t mind switching to Fuji, especially knowing I can get basically all the same glass. I would like to make this decision before purchasing that viltrox 75mm.

Fuji's 24 megapixel sensor is a great sensor and I used it for years. For me, the greatest benefit of the 40 megapixel sensor is the ability to crop more. This isn't something that most photographers need.

Very thourough comparison....but I'm still not convinced the X-H2 is the best choice for me. I have 3 X-H1 bodies and really like them for studio video work where they remain set up all the time. I'm now looking for a body for mostly photography and like shooting with an L-Bracket. This seems like it could be cumbersome with the flip-out screen. Any thoughts?

A crucial factor, for me, is that the XH-2 takes a battery grip, which allows extra battery power/life but most important makes vertical, portrait, orientation so much better, I don't get the "elbow in the air" , a great pity Fuji doesn't allow the XT-5 the option.

im tempted with the XT5 but lower rez EVF and also smaller EVF puts me off. on my trial with the XH" iso worked well on the top and bottom of the 4 buttons on back, set iso to both then if want to lower the iso press bottom and if want to go up press up, only work around at present and is far quicker than contorting the trigger finger to the ISO button on top. Loved the XH2 and XH2s but loath the flippy screen

For the same reasons you mention, the Xh2 is also my go-to camera (my big hands, ergonomics, and weather sealing, especially important when you live far into the arctic circle) I don't own one yet, tho. My question is related to the problem some XH2 owners have highlighted and that is "freezing"... that sometimes the camera is freezing during operation and the only way to bring it back to life again is to take the battery out and in again. For me who makes a lots of time-lapses that would be a huge problem and that makes me hesitant to buy XH2, although I'v already bought some Fuji.lenses. Have you heard about this freezing issue, or have you had this problem with you own XH2? Thanks!🙏

This is a great review. I like the xt5 and the xh2, but I'm a serious amateur and really don't need 40mp. I'm thinking about the xs20 - I just wish it was weather sealed. (Also wish it had the d-pad). Do you have any experience with the OM1 or OM5? I like many features about Fugi better (aperture on lense) but the OM are famous for weather sealing and image stabilization. Thanks for your great reviews.

Hi, I own and tested almost all Fuji models. Beside my Gfx which is another level and not compatible with other x series, I bought xt5 to have 40 mp for my photography need. As you said it is so beautiful specially the silver one, but after while I found I never use any of physical wheels! I set aperture and shutter speed as well as iso on front and back wheels with push and click to switch between. Also red batch lenses on xt5 body are not balanced but on xh body look much better. Xh1 with 26 mp was not enough for me and Gfx is very heavy and difficult for walking around, and again I think xh2 would be good replace on my Gfx with bulky lenses, specially for my age in 60! So eventually I am planning to set xh2 with 3 red batch lenses + versatile camera (hopefully new x1006). What do you think?

About the hassle of having two types of memory cards. Video obviously benefits from the faster CF Express card, but also burst mode taking stills, for what I've read, the X-T5 can only shoot about 20 uncompressed RAW shots in 15 FPS burst mode before overflowing the buffer (which takes a while to clear), whereas the X-H2 can manage well over a hundred of those and, essentially, infinite JPEGs. This modest figures in the X-T5 seem to improve dramatically if you shoot JPEG, allowing for well over a hundred shots before filling the buffer. Not a big deal if you keep your drive mode in single shot most of the time, but a deal breaker if you're an action or wildlife photographer and want to shoot RAW. This in one of the main reasons, apart from ergonomics, I'm going to order the X-H2 instead of the X-T5.

Hey Booray, I've now watched this video twice since I'm considering switching to mirrorless with Fuji and the points you make of what's valuable to you are similar to what I value. However, in your video you mention you can't add a battery grip to the XT-5, which would improve the grip. You didn't mention whether or not you can add a 3rd party grip like you did for your XT-4. The ergonomic feature is very important to me since my D500 has an excellent grip like the XH2. Thoughts?

As a X-T1, X-T3, and X-H2 owner, the ergonomic change is HUGE. I shoot several multi day events a year, the fact I don't end up with hand cramps after the first hour or two is such a relief. I can say the PASM dial is... meh, take it or leave it, I am still much faster at adjustments on the X-T3, but I've been shooting the XT style camera since the X-T1 was released [near eight or nine years of muscle memory]. The Sub dials on the X-T cameras are not great, they click over to easily in my opinion, especially when you're adjusting without looking. I'll stick with the X-H2, I'll get used to the PASM, and the flip out screen is slowly growing on me for certain situations, especially for shooting extremely awkward angles off a tripod.... Imagine my delight when I realized I didn't have to wade out into a freezing creek bed for a waterfall shot I did recently [Really though three feet deep and six feet wide, placing the tripod from shore was a treat].... I may yet buy an X-T5, but it would be in addition to the X-H2, just a backup in the moment.

Hi mate, I have been an XT shooter for the past 7 years owning the xt1 then upgrading to an xt2 almost within a year, it's been good enough for me. Just as you say handling heavier zoom glass (particularly my 100-400) the xh2 will be my upgrade and not the xt5 due to so many reasons. I'll miss the 'on the fly' adjustments via the dials but all day comfort and more confidence handling one handed it's an easy transition for me.
