My partner is also a barista! The beans his work uses have a naturally nutty/chocolatey note to them and he can pull the shot just right to whet you'd swear you were drinking a mocha but it's really just a plain latte. He spoils me soooo much!

I definitely need to up my coffee game. I've been drinking more coffee lately, but I've been using the nasty pre-ground stuff with a coffee maker that definitely doesn't make good coffee. I definitely want to try the Aero press. What do you think of the pour-over things?

NOT JUDGING NOT JUDGING NOT JUDGING! Hahaha no really, Mike and I have done so much pre-ground coffee too. It's cheap, and when in school, it's a viable option. Pour-overs are amazing!!! I prefer the aeropress, but you can get more coffee out of the pour-over.

When I was a young lad, my parents had a coffee grinder that had to be cranked by hand. You could set the grind and come up with coffee that was fairly finely ground or fairly course. So, when we got back from Peru where we obtained our coffee beans and had them roasted just right, it was my job to grind the coffee beans for my parents. I thought it was fun. The really funny thing is that I didn't drink coffee back then and still don't really.

I Love to see how passionate you are about coffee. Your helpful hints have and will improve my life. One hint I would love to know is How do you get the volume in your hair. I style my hair very similar, except I have my sides shaved higher than yours. My problem is the flatness of my quiff or quoff, whichever.. It may seem too vain to do a whole hair tutorial video, but maybe a couples hair tutorial with a comedic spin would still be helpful to me. Thanks and Love you both!!

Well, in the 17th century when the coffee fashion just took off in Europe, you would start with roasting the beans gently on an iron plate, because they were imported raw. Then grinding and boiling the powder in the water for a prolonged period of time. There would be probably no milk but sugar would be quite common. As a finishing touch you would add a tiny amount of musk or ambergris despite the fact that they aren't used in cooking anymore.

I had a professor last semester who said that we were only allowed to bring coffee to class if it was fair trade. He said he could tell if it wasn't because he could smell the oppression. I think in the US you make your coffee too watery. In greece frape(french accent) is really popular..its premade filtered coffee, you add water you shake it and it's ready. It tastes really bad though :P

I'm *FAR* too lazy to bother myself with a French press and hand ground beans that I personally sto...err... harvested from a sekrit holy tree hidden away on a steep mountain slope in the far reaches of the Andes that's only accessible to left handed monks with a lithp. I just throw a scoop of my Maxwell House French Roast into my old Black and Decker drip percolator, paper filter and all, dump into a mug, and slurp. I know... How crude is that? Now if you're willing to drop in and serve it to me in bed in the mornings, I might have second thoughts. LOL

Nectar of the gods. Espresso, cappuccino show that someone wants us to be happy. I'll admit, I am a complete coffee snob. Even my coffee fanatic friends say that. There are only four places in Vancouver that make excellent cappuccino. Starbucks is not one of them (makes gagging face.) For those heard to say, "I need a coffee, NOW!", wait until you've died waiting for a coffee. In July, I went to one of the four to get my morning started. While waiting for the cappuccino to be made I went into cardiac arrest and collapsed on the floor. No pulse, no breathing (sheesh, some people can't wait for anything.) In their report, the paramedics who came to the coffee shop to revive me stated that I had been "at a Starbucks". Half of my loved ones were shocked I'd had a heart attack and the other half stared in stunned disbelief, "Larry was at a Starbucks?!"
