Another high-profile case discussed was that of Tory Lanez, who became a recent news talking point after his bodyguard claimed to have seen Kelsey with a gun. This controversial statement came after the bodyguard disappeared during trial and reappeared on the last day to testify, leading to a halt in proceedings. The claim seems to have been an attempt to gain an appeal, but as Boosie highlighted, an 80% failure rate for appeals makes this unlikely. 36 minutes and Marlow Mike still sitting in prison because he retracted his statement of testifying on Boosie. Marlow was sitting in jail on another charge when the weight of all the murders he did for Boosie forced him to confess to EVERYTHING on tape and he went into detail with each murder. At the last minute he said he lied and that got Boosie free. Boosie might’ve gotten away with everything now but eventually the reaper will come to collect.

Tory’s lawyer legitimately thought that he won the case and wanted to get Tory out by Christmas, then Tory was found guilty on all three charges after only a couple hours of the jury deliberating, two days before Christmas Day, which all of the jurors wanted the court stuff over so they could enjoy their holidays too. That’s probably why they only deliberated for two hours. It usually takes a jury at least a full day or two minimum to come to a decision in a case like this with no real solid evidence, other than the victims testimony. Tory and his lawyer didn’t factor that part in and massively paid for it. That one Christmas shouldn’t have been as important to them as it was. Now Tory missed that Christmas anyways and is probably gonna miss nine more after that impulsive gamble they took. They did it to themselves though. It’ll be interesting to see how the appeal goes. It really could go either way if that security guard gets to testify and Tory takes the stand.
