Part 4 - Celebrating Creativity
The BOOST project celebrated each dancer's individual creativity, encouraging participants to get involved in their own way. The project culminated in both formal and informal performance opportunities to their peers, family and teachers. Hear feedback from audience members, teachers and children and see some of the performances in this final part of the documentary.
If you can't wait to hear what people thought here's a snippet of just some of the feedback:
"It was like joyful" one child shared, whilst another said they "felt more confident".
At Jenny Hammond School they saw "enthusiasm from the children running into the hall [every lesson] they are delighted to be involved".
Over at Barn Croft School they shared that "There are a lot of different needs in the group [...] and it’s just magical seeing them really come alive [...] it's been quite incredible to see a different side to those children." And the children's "confidence has gone through the roof, they absolutely love it!"
'BOOST' was a year long inclusive dance project delivered by Dash Dot Dance. It took place across the London Borough of Waltham Forest during 2021 to 2022 at four settings with disabled and non-disabled children and young people.
Supported by London Borough of Waltham Forest 'Make it Happen' Fund.
