A blast from the past ! Here is some archived footage of Mike Irmen and his famous crash at turbo hill in Revelstoke BC, Canada. His severe determination and 3 failed attempts come with a twist. " really, i'm a better rider than this, Veedy " was one of my favorite moments. Mike is an amazing rider, always putting on a great show, and 4 time winner of the Big Iron shootout. I've got to say...That is one determined fellow and one good quality sled he's riding. Very good testament to the toughness of Yamaha. Great film shoot Veedy :)

I am always amazed that nobody has invented a way for the brakes to be applied if your kill tether gets pulled. Might not save every run away, but it sure wouldn’t hurt.

They have. Spring loaded brake handle with a pin to hold the lever in normal position until a tether hooked to the rider is pulled and the brakes are applied.

I can't believe you used a helicopter to get your sled down. lol I mean entertaining, but I've never seen someone call the chopper in unless the sled was unrideable.

Because on an extremely steep slope any attempt to reposition sled may cause it to roll. Potential damage from rolling to bottom through rocks and trees can cost a lot more than heli.

Oh please. If truth be told, everyone uses swear words - or their euphemistic equivalents - on occasion. If nobody used today's swear words, they wouldn't remain in the language - but you can be sure that other words would take their place. Swear words persist because they're a necessary and natural part of any language - they fulfil a particular role that no other words can. In fact, there is no known language in the world that doesn't include swear words. Most linguists would maintain that swearing does not show a poor command of a language, but rather demonstrates that you know the language very well.

+Loren Reece Yes indeed, in the header write up, I stated that there was foul language. This is reality.... not a scripted show. If you can't handle real life on the mountain, with cussing men and their machines... well, I can't help that. Personally, i'm not offended by much, may have something to do with my political stance, or that I just don't give a f***, I'm glad that you enjoy my movies enough to comment on them, thanks.
