At this point is like everything one week it’s great for you the next week it’s bad for you. I’m going to use the approach that drag race cars use if it increases me even if it’s a fraction of a second it makes me that much faster so, even if this doesn’t add a lot to my Google ranking, it still adds to the ranking overall, which will help me do it.

This doesn't work Google strips out the Exif data when you upload the image it is a complete waist of time.

That's debatable. Based on my research, that data is indeed removed when trying to download the image off of Google, which is understandable from a privacy standpoint. Doesn't mean the data was't taken into account when uploaded. I've got plenty of clients who have seen a discernible uptick in photo-view traffic due to geo-tagging images. That said, there are definitely far more valuable modifications to tweak a GBP than geo-tagging images: e.g. reviews, adding photos/videos, period, business categories, etc.

Yes and yes… Though you would need a different service than the one I mentioned for tagging a video. Also, keep perspective that this is not a magic solution for SEO… It’s just one tactic. Hope that helps

It's useful in solidifying location authority... definitely not the most important of optimizations. I have more recent videos that delve into that. I would say that geotagging images on your website to optimize for rich markup in organic search results is certainly worth the effort.

We suspect that data is stripped when uploaded from your camera roll. Vice versa, if yiu try to download your images off of GMB, you'll notice that data is gone as well. Doesn't mean that Apple and Google don't keep or use it... just that it doesn't not necessarily "go" w/ the image.

If anybody could manipulate their photos geocoordinates to game the system, you really think Google would let that happen? Unless you have a case study to prove this actually works, there is One widely available to prove it doesn't work.
