Boost Your Productivity with the Autodesk Fusion March Release

Hey everyone, welcome back to the Autodesk Fusion KZbin channel! We're super excited to dive into the March updates for Fusion. We've got a bunch of new features and enhancements that are all about cranking up your productivity and getting those collaborative workflows flowing.
We’re unveiling the much-anticipated Bill of Materials functionality, enhancing how you manage and track project components. For teams looking to expand, you’ll discover an improved data management system with Groups, Roles, & Permissions. This suite of features not only supports organizing team members and setting permissions but is also a key cornerstone for multi-subscription accounts, enabling fluid collaboration within Fusion's environment.
Manufacturers will see significant toolpath improvements, tool library holder adjustments, and some additive workspace upgrades. Mechanical designers get some new fastener and configuration functionality, plus what we all want: PERFORMANCE.
In the Electronics workspace, users are getting the Cross selection between Schematic and PCB, Coupling analysis powered by Ansys in the Signal Integrity extension. We've also partnered with Cadence for seamless 2D to 3D transitions.

Guys you are all so great- I want to give a little feedback, it is not a feature request or anything. I think you should share example design and demonstration files with users when you have a new release so they themselves can test new features, inspect the design and learn from it. This would be a game changer, "Find out what's new" would transform to "Try out whats new!" I would love to have access to some design files you demonstrate on to see what are the best practices and so on, this would be greatly helpful to anyone who is learning

is there a way to keep the CAM operations linked to the part? f.e. i have 2 parts in seperat files. both files/parts have perfected milling operations saved in itself. it would be awesome, if i now could put it in a new file without relinking all milling operations using saved preoperations.. that costs so much time.. and because i pay for fusion i need to have a advantage i saving time..

Make drawing environment more stable. Get constantly crashes when creating a new view and changing the scale for example

Wonder if this is your graphic's card driver. I have never had Fusion 360 crash. Make sure you're running the latest available driver.

​@emanggitulah4319 is it a dedicated GPU, or an integrated GPU? If its dedicated gpu it should run pretty smoothly, if its an intwgrated gpu running fusion then may god have mercy on your soul

@@JWC_4_2_0 I have a powerful Nvidia GPU. It often just crashes in the drawing environment

@emanggitulah4319 my mistake, you're right, if its a current nvidia gpu it'd almost always be dedicated. While fusion is a work of brilliance doing thousands of complex calculations in a split second, at the same time there's always 1 or 2 completely random operations that somehow if you combine them with a completely unrelated operation in a certain way it gets hung. I had something similar where for a few months randomly if I tried changing the appearance on something half the time it crashed. And it seems like it's always a different thing for each user that triggers it. Guess that's what makes life interesting.

Please, for the love of god, fix the ordering for parameters in the parameters dialog, so it remember your last sort. E.g. if I sort by name, then close the param dialog, it doesn't remember that I sorted by name, and I have to re-sort it!

I am currently testing Fusion for suitability for replacing our current software provider for CNC programming, how can I ask Auto desk to see if we can get some features added that we need for our operation that our current software does now........

@@ScottMoyse I am a programmer for large multi axis Vertical turning lathes ( two & 3 head lathes- 4 axis & six axis, and we currently using Creo. While this does what we need, its complex, its buggy, and not well supported in our area to find people. to hire I need the ability to inject code at the start & end of a sequence for sync blocks (M101, M102 etc as well as custom macro for the controllers. I need the ability to use construction plan to split cuts. I need the ability to program center of tip radius, we use 50mm buttons . I am working my way thru TITAN of CNC training modules at the moment to see if we can use fusion as our main CAM package.

@@swamppifi6186 Titan's content is very out of date. It also teaches a number of bad practices for Fusion. So I would avoid that content if I were you. Use the Autodesk learning content instead. Most of what you have listed is possible, but would require a decent amount of work on a custom post. Where are you based?

Improve the sheet metal module... still can't create parts with curved bends and the flat patterns related to them.

Yes you can as long as they are only curved in one axis.
