From an industry insider (Ford engineer), the suspension terms typically used in the business are jounce & rebound-tire/suspension compression & extension, respectively, although I've heard some other terms in their place. Also a mechanic in a previous life, I do like the creative nature of your front 'splinter.' That's how the racers did it in the old days, and there's a great deal of satisfaction in fabricating from scratch. Can't wait for part 2.

Looks great. Need to fix the flag on the right fender though please. On the pass side the flag should have the stars on the upper right. Always pushing forward.

"The regulation states that when authorized for application to the proper uniform the American flag patch is to be worn, right or left shoulder, so that “the star field faces forward, or to the flag’s own right. When worn in this manner, the flag is facing to the observer’s right, and gives the effect of the flag flying in the breeze as the wearer moves forward. The appropriate replica for the right shoulder sleeve is identified as the ‘reverse side flag’.”

I know! The decal shop screwed it up and we just slapped it on before the race and haven’t fixed it yet. I should probably just pull it off now to save the embarrassment haha

Look closer, looks like bubble gum and bird shit. I’m blaming it on the flux core “welder”.
