The 3.6 v6 engine is a fast engine for it's kind . It performs well and stock can put up with 6900 rpms when full throttle ,if one was to chip this cars ECU then you would perhaps see 40-50 more HP added . I know guys who put the 3.6 penstar engine in their can am stock race cars . So in all fairness this engine is more reliable then the V8.

A 5.7 even with long tubes, CAI, cam and custom tune will not make that kind of power. That is beyond impressive. Have you done one with increased boost 10-12 pounds?

6 bolt mains and lots of block stress ribbing. I like the turbine type supercharger for simplicity and the fact that the power builds with rpm thus eliminating the traction issues from a roots or posi displacement blower. I have concerns about the A/C system suffering with that charge cooler sitting in front of the condenser. Do the vortec chargers self oil? Is there belt slippage with 12 pounds of boost? It is amazing that a stock Mopar fuel system will cover those power numbers.

9psi has been super safe for years. Max, that's up to you, but we'd cap it at 13. The RIPP kit provides plenty of boost and volume we leave power on the table in th tune we provide. We'd advise you to locate a tuner that is proficient in HP tuners and Mopar to get the most out of your RIPP kit. 470whp is becoming common place.

@@AWWWMAN80 long distances are not an issue at all, most of the time you are at lower RPM enjoying great gas mileage. 22s are not an issue and you will not need to upgrade you fan. Think of it this way, our clients with JKs and also Pentastar powered (over 8000 of them) have huge tires and very heavy equipment and they often drive 2000 miles from home to go 100 miles into the off road and back. Additionally our clients with Grand Cherokees and Durangos tow trailers across the country and back. The cars have it the easiest 👍

Whats crazy is SC the 6.4L. It makes 700+ hp to the crank on 7 to 8 psi. But 5.7 can take higher psi like the v6. 12 to 13. You can make 500 whp

The V6 Pentastar is a wonderfully overbuilt engine from the factory. Any power adder has the potential to significantly lessen lifespan as a result of user error but proper addition of a supercharger yields no significant loss.

I’d expect 120-140. The base engine in these is around 292, they claim theirs only made 220, makes me think they lowered the base horsepower to make their gains seem more significant.

Not at all, works on stock hoods perfectly. There are other kits that absolutely require this but not ours.

At this point we have over 7000 kits sold worldwide. Our Jeep Wrangler program has clients who have driven their RIPP powered JK's over 150k miles on large tires and many tow as well proving the engine is very strong. The Jeeps also share the same transmission as the 2011-2014 5spd cars and they are very strong as well with no real reported melt downs. The 8spd transmission is very strong and we have proven them in the Grand Cherokee and Durango which we've been supercharging since 2013 now. Many SUV owners purchased the RIPP Supercharger to help tow a small trailer or camper and people find great results and reliability with them. Anything can break, but we have a lot of confidence in the systems.

There's a channel I follow of an owner of a RIPP'd V6 300 , whose engine blew. He has attributed the engine damage to what he referred to as a "stutter" and has said he believed it was as a result of the supercharger. Not saying he's right or wrong and in fact, I'm still very much interested in adding a RIPP SC to my 300 but I'm doing my share of research just so I know what to expect and how to care for the vehicle in the best way I can. So, sort of a three part question here: could this be due to a "bad" or too aggressive of a tune? Have the RIPP folks heard of such a thing as this "stutter"? If so, what could be done to prevent this?

Owners often take matters into their own hands not withstanding we have sold over 13000 kits and our base tunes are very safe. Some people want to go further or tune around a minor nuance and end up in these positions. Aftermarket companies like ours try our best to save owners from themselves, in some cases we can't.
