I think 500 solid power too much it’s asking for trouble the engine it’s weak in the cylinder walls would not hold too much pressure even with forged internals just anything under 20 psi would be safe like 14-16 would be enough then with that power you have to upgrade your transmission the 2012 to 2014 has the nag1 solid transmission an hold up to 500 whp the new ones for 2015 and up a bit weakers

I would get an oil catch can as well, and if you wanted to improve the durability of this set up either a water methanol kit or flex fuel would do. And of course tuning may have to be done to accommodate either. The good thing is the supercharger includes tuning, but if you’re going to run flex fuel or a water methanol injection then additional tuning might be required.

@ModstarzOfficial
@ModstarzOfficial 9 ай бұрын
From my understanding these kits are low boost (no more than 8psi) if they are more than that then perhaps one would have to upgrade internals or run a water methanol injection. Flex Fuel may be another option as it is alcohol and can be used as a cooling agent among other things. From a convenience stand point one could do that. However, there are quite a few individuals running this kit on daily drivers. I do not know of many who have upgraded to the extent of the video I have made but the few that have are running stock internals as well. Depends on goals, budget, and how you drive and take care of what you have. If you have not seen the video I linked in the description on the sprintex challenger running 11s in the 1/4 mile let me know what you think after. That one is on stock internals as well. You do make an important point on what most people do not do which is build the block of any thing now of days.

@ModstarzOfficial
@ModstarzOfficial Жыл бұрын
@@jfate5977 Awesome. First things first take care of the p0420 make sure the catalytic converter(s) aren’t clogged or bad and the o2 sensors are good. If you are keeping up with 392s than you potentially have a car that can 12s in a 1/4 mile. For your car to hook better will come down to suspension set up and gearing like you mentioned, at which point 500hp may not be necessary especially when it hooks and shifts quicker with transmission upgrades. As far as tires go especially if this is your daily, my preference is an all season performance tire like Firestone fire hawk or Michelin pilot 4s for example .With that being said you will definitely have to upgrade the brakes as well. If you wanted to add more power after that there are a few ways to do it. 1 is a larger pulley for more boost . If I’m not mistaken Sprintex is working on a pulley larger than the 68mm pulley but that size pulley is good as well someone ran 11.8 on a v6 challenger on 93 Octane. In addition to that the blower was ported and had a larger throttle body from BBK. 2 ) you could do if you are on a stock block is a water methanol injection kit and depending on you current setup I do not know the size injectors or fuel pump your car has but if you want to run more boost that is something you might have to upgrade as well. And 3) have the cylinder heads ported tune the car ( if necessary) and you are on your way to more power and with that you may or may not have to improve your set up to accommodate for the extra power but this is a method and order or operations you can try. Definitely chat with your tuner and others who have helped you with your build. Feel free to keep me posted on this. I am really excited for you and how things go. 1) clear the code 2) brakes and suspension set up 3) transmission and rear end 4) test drive and practice with the new set up 5) optional: add more power with options mentioned above . If desired.

The Pentistar is a great engine. But it is not made to handle any amount of boost. It has no forged internals and the block is an open deck design, so there is no strength at the top of the cylinders. Any boosted 3.6 is living on borrowed time. My advise, go light on the boost (6psi) and tune for e85. Then swap driveshaft and rear diff with an R/T
@ModstarzOfficial
@ModstarzOfficial 8 ай бұрын
Great minds think alike. I’d not ethanol than water methanol injection as mentioned in the video. I do believe there will be a point where forged internals are available even if it is a (made on demand) scenario. Then again, one could always have them custom made but that may come at some cost. I believe the supercharger is at 8 psi and there are a good amount of people running these for about a year or two from what I saw last.

Welcome! and to answer your first question technically yes but it would be expensive and custom as it has not been done before. The turbo kit in and of itself would be custom but there is also the sprintex supercharger kit which uses a style supercharger like that of a hellcat (root style/twin screw). As far as headers go, the earlier models like 09 have them where as the newer ones like yours are casted on to the block so there is no way to remove it. The good news is you have plenty of options in the MOPAR world. I have also made a video about the 5.7 hemi and the earlier chargers for example can still be found for about $8k. So would you like to keep the v6 and save the money you wanted to put towards the wide body and other parts towards something like a 2010 charger/challenger (or other running hemi powered vehicles) ? Or Sell the v6 after you have the cash for the other car and build that? Again there is no wrong answer even if it is something no one else agree with. But you must start with one goal and a budget for that goal. Please feel free to ask any questions you would like.

@@ModstarzOfficial Thanks for your prompt response. I wanted to amend a prior statement I made concerning the headers/manifold. I intend to get the ported manifold from MMX as opposed to “forged” as I previously/mistakenly wrote. My question is as follows: would I be able to obtain equitable power in comparison to a Hellcat if I obtained the Sprintex Supercharger, upgraded to Ripp supercoils, forged my rods and pistons and possibly upgraded my cooling system, and purchased a TorqueFlite 8HP90 or perhaps a TR-6060? This question is brought forth in good faith and with the limited knowledge I have concerning mechanics. However, I understand if the question(s) itself/themselves are moot considering the technical challenges posed to say the least. I would also like to add that if I secure the Sprintex I would still want to turbocharge the V6 as having a unique vehicle such as this intrigues the hell out of me to say the least. With me having verbalized that diatribe, I have effectively decided to keep my V6 should I be able to achieve the above conditions and have also decided to withhold the wide body kit purchase from Vicrez unless I can achieve the exhaust noise/grumble quality level of at least a 392 scat or Daytona. Is this even possible with the modifications I’ve done ? Does more oxygen to the engine equate to better noise production or is this also a likely fruitless venture ? I was also wondering what kind of turbocharger should I look to pair with the Sprintex ?

Some have suggested the 300M Chrysler final driver is taller and the Plymouth prowler is 4.3 I believe but I’m not sure how a rwd differential works on a fwd car unless they were speaking on the actual gear set of the transmission. Tuning would have to be a universal one like Ecumaster Det3 of AEM FI C 6 (piggy back computers) or mega squirt (stand alone) if possible. The displacement of the motor is that of modern day v6 engines and the weigh less than a Nissan 350z to put it in perspective. Simple bolt ons or a way to make the transmission shift quicker like a custom stall torque converter would wake the car up and surprise a lot of things you run against. Yes I still reply. I do not think there are any drastic changes on the 2023 model to the previous AWD models. With that said, If you were to get a supercharger kit it would have to be the AWD kit from Ripp superchargers. Bolt ons should be straight forwards but exhaust is simple seeing how the headers are casted to the block and cannot be removed. If you are going the supercharger route than you will have just about everything in the kit including HP tune flash. If you are going all motor (bolt ons and tune) than you have a few more options for tuning like Diablosport and Livernoise performance flash tuning which (If I am not mistaken) also have the ability to adjust shift points of the transmission as well. Lastly the differentials cannot be swapped as simply as the RWD variants because of just that. However, I am curious if differentials from an AWD jeep srt for example will fit along side other necessary hardware if needed. I hope this helps. What is your goal? And what is your budget?

Building a v6 charger/challenger is impractical because you'll spend money on replacement parts far more than the car is worth. lets say you do add all that HP where is the torque to back it up??? There is a video of a decked out v6 with a stock motor (second motor at that because the v6 motor is prone to cracking because they are aluminum cast and cannot handle the stress of a supercharger even if you give it forged internals they aren't built for it) getting gapped by a 392 scat pack just because it doesn't have the torque to keep up. Yes this will beat a stock hemi or R/T but nothing crazier than that because those cars have the torque and proper build/upgrades pushing the vehicle where is.

I've posted a link of one running 11s in 1/4 mile on a Sprintex supercharger, and upgrading cars seems impractical to just as many people who beleive buying expensive cars (cars over $30k-$40k) are impracticle but thats besides the point. As Jay Leno once said "Horsepower sells cars but torque wins races." You and I however both know there are other factors that effect results and application of power. And that is why we have the aftermarket, to make what was once impossible possible. I guess we will have to wait and see. Here is the video of the challenger as well if you have not seen it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qoSclWakqM1ojpIsi=l3Y-n8VcjCfLhl5v

I always told people to enjoy their builds. I don’t have to like them and most of the time I don’t. There’s always someone faster then you, no matter what you got. 3.6L is a start you know, can’t knock one down that has actual performance mods. 5.7 is the slowest v8 out there right now. If it has actual mods to it then, it has potential. 6.4L are decent and don’t really like boost too much. Actual mods make this thing even better. 6.2L already is in a different league then the other engines. Even tho it gets beat by cars with 500whp, still gotta respect what it’s got. Enjoy your rides y’all, not everyone is going to like your car. Stay true to you, and do not be “ that guy “ at car meets, and you’ll be good 👍🏽

@@ModstarzOfficial I enjoy what you are doing here. You are showing these guys what is possible. You’re giving them options, that’s not a bad thing at all. I have a 3.6L 2015 Chrysler 300s. It does have some mods but it’s my daily so it’s still pretty reliable. My Mercedes is my project and currently makes 611whp. I’ve seen both sides of modding. The side where people love it and the side where people hate it. They hated that I actually added some power and swapped my rear diff on my Chrysler. I’d say some nice mods tbh. Then they see my Mercedes and fall in love. Both have mods it’s just what’s under the hood at the end of the day. I support you brother and keep on with these videos 🤘🏽

@@ModstarzOfficial Yep. Supercharged V6 makes very little tq. It was 505whp/380wtq. RIPP doesn't even state the tq their supercharger makes, because it's embarrassing. And 505/380 is NO comparison to a Hellcat. The quickest 1/4 I ever did in my Charger was 11.5. Hellcats were hi 10s that day.
@ModstarzOfficial
@ModstarzOfficial 4 ай бұрын
@@CallaFab 11.5 sounds about right but even stock and on tire, hellcats don’t immediately 10s and to do so consistently takes some more time so that car seems to be dialed in. The stock 1/4 mike records for hellcats have been corrected over the years and without a radial or slick they run 11s.

@@ModstarzOfficial if the magnets on end of cams don't fail the lifters and rockers break. Ebay has several knock off lifter and cam kits that are way worse than the stock ones. The phasers on cams on pentastar will also break at 500hp, they break or wear out becoming sloppy even on stock engines.
@ModstarzOfficial
@ModstarzOfficial 4 ай бұрын
@@BlueBaby-m6t Ah that makes sense. I remember when Ford was having issues with cam phasers a few years ago. Believe it or not there are some exotics that have this issue as well that people are getting a fix on but we will see if that goes down the latter on more affordable cars. Do you have any ideas on how to make the magnets more secure? Perhaps a a JB weld type composite?
@BlueBaby-m6t
@BlueBaby-m6t 4 ай бұрын
@@ModstarzOfficial problem isn't the magnets being secure it is the design. The magnets are little magnetic lines on a wheel. Those cams on end can't be near any metals like steel. Even a screw driver or socket will make the magnetic lines distort and not read anymore. The stock cam magnets are far better than cheap ebay cam magnets but are still junk. The rockers are tiny also and known for roller wheel collapse or deformation. Also I have bought penstar lifters that didn't pump up and I had to remove top of everything to replace again which drives me nuts.
