I recently got my first scooter, a dual 500W motor Kaabo Mantis 8 from the manufacturer for $999USD. 26mph, I'm seeing about 19 miles of real range and I love it. I'm 53, have 200kms accident free so far, live in Portland, Oregon and look forward to many years puttin' around my new state. Cheers!

Boosted Rev is NOT 600wh it is 370wh believe it or not.....thats why its only getting 8 miles of range on mode 3.... they hid that in the scooter support page. stupidly small battery. I ride a spider as well. About to mount the xtech brakes on it, and have mountain bike bars as well as 2.5 inch CST tires! Spider is the king in its weight class and even smashes some of the larger ones imo.

@@jasontomica8938 certainly smashes the thunder as a commuter. I'll pick my 44lb spider up easily and throw it in the car....have fun doing that with your 100lb thunder. Don't get me wrong I love the thunder my homie has one and I've ridden it many times. No way would I ever purchase one though because to me it defeats the purpose of a scooter.....its not easy to pick up and take with you. The torque, speed, and stability, and oof those brakes are amazing on the thunder. But its at the expense of it becoming less of a scooter and more of a stand up electric motorcycle with all that weight. And do ever I find myself needing all that extra torque and speed on the thunder? Hell no! 40mph on the spider is plennnntyyyy.

I just purchased the boosted rev for short commuting from work and home. Which is only a little over a mile away. So for people like me. This is a pretty decent price but I still feel like they could've added at least some suspensions. Oh, well. Considering I owed a very crappy scooter before that only went 13 MPH. The boosted will be so much better.

Seen the boosted rev for the first time here in the uk, looks even better in the flesh than it does in the videos. (Looks the nuts in the videos). I loved my Boosted Rev and could normally, as a heavier rider with a pretty significant hill to navigate, get round 20km of range which was fine with me. The design was great, the throttle was nice, the brakes good. But on a longer ride your thumb got sore - no cruise control. The air tyres were good but no suspension still meant on rougher roads and paths the ride was jarring. Then mine developed a fault where it wouldn't cage beyond 64% and I sent to back to the retailer here and after 4 weeks still not fixed they refunded me (I love the NZ Consumer Guarantees Act!). So then more research into what was going to be good for me. Settled on a Emove Cruiser but couldn't get one for 4 months so then ended up buying a New Dualtron - called elsewhere the Dualtron 2.0. OMG. This is the smaller verion of the Thunder and other Dualtron scooters but still a beast. Top speed over 60kmh, range of 60 plus km. Climbs my big hill with no issues. Charging time is long but all good I charge it when it get to work and then charge it overnight. Suspension combined with air tyres is outstanding. Now looking back for the cost the Boosted Rev was very poor which explains it's demise. Just to add - the standard lights on the front of the Dualtron tends to be a bit weak. I added 2 really powerful lights to mine and have one set to flash mode so everyone can see me coming!

Rode a boosted and a Dualtron 3. The Dualtron is a beast on paper (and in real life), but the Boosted feels more premium. Yes, the Dualtron goes faster, brakes harder, lasts longer, have suspension, but things like brake and throttle modulation, predictability, user interface, rider feel customer support (basically things that aren’t shown on paper) didn’t feel as great when I compared them side by side. I actually really wanted the Dualtron when test riding, but I couldn’t justify the extra cost when it didn’t feel as premium. I’m hoping either Boosted ups their next scooter spec wise or Dualtron steps up on their build quality and rider feel.
