Rather than the plasti dip on the handles you can hit it with a heat gun. Takes it back to original black that actually lasts. Just go slow. Well worth it. Did it to my ram box lids and looks like new. Good luck.

I would do high heat black spray paint on the door handles. I repainted my wiper cowl 2 years ago and it still looks great. Plasti dip will fade fast.

I’d do the handle surrounds in body color leaving the carbon handles

Those handles look 30x better if you paint match them blue with the tailgate handle too

I've had great luck with Rust-Oleum Wipe New. Used it on a few of my vehicles' exposed plastic parts. The Dakota is really coming together!

Great video as always! I can't wait to see how you do the clutch fan delete and add on the electric fan. I want to do the same thing to my Dakota. One more thing, I would keep the roof blue, it looks clean like that and once you buff it out, awesome!

You should use heat gun on plastics . The heat gun will make it look new again just take time with it and the heat will bring the oils back to surface

what fan controller are you using? i use a hadyen temp probe controlled fan controller on my dakota. its a v6 but i use a fan for a chevy 350 and works great and yes woke up the little v6 pulling that fan off. as for the glue i use this window cleaner called sparkle, its ammonia free and a razor blade carefully. it removes glue great from vinyl and window tint. at least in my experience. and a little heat helps as well

Try a bottle of "wipe new" on the outer door handle plastic its lasts about a yr and a half but it should make that look like new again Its at wall-e mart

one thing great for removing glue or tint residue is aerosol window cleaner. it literally eats it off!

If you polish up roof an it comes out better yet .. I would leave it for now an the money U save from not re wrapping or painting put into mods on truck .. for the faded door handles an tailgate latch.. what about trying that product called “Wipe New” .. it’s meant jus for that.. jus make sure it’s clean an dry An wipe on .. waaay better than armoral an lasts long time .. I like the electric fan 👍 your headlights were nice an bright when you were driving back home in dark.. fact .. looked better an brighter than the newer cars driving beside u on the highway 👍👍.. can’t wait for the track video an hp tuner install .. an I very intrested in a detail installation of electric fan as I never done one befor an want to right shortly on my ram .. hope all is ok Boost as for where u live, seen on the news about bad fires down there .. are they somewhat close to you at all or ? I think those seals are shaft seals for trans. those are install tools for the seals.

Get the cerakote wipes for your faded plastics. I think they have free samples to try out on their website.

Use Solution Finish and a ceramic coating on all the plastics and it should last upwards of 2 years

Hey love the content! Try utahawsome performance. Marty there has been tuning and building Dakotas since early 90s. They have a new plate for the stock intake that increase power. Such a difference in a simple solution. Also supplies custom cams, tunes, heads. Rebuilds,.... ect. My Dak r/t is mostly all stock with 300k miles. He's a real smart guy for dodge trucks!

To bad a double din doesn't fit. Unless you hack the dash and do a custom fit. It's a hassle and takes some work to get right. They make much better 1Din radios now anyway.
