give you a shit ton of credit.... no air tools, no million dollar electric tools, just a plug in impact that is affordable, and hand tools... YOU THE MAN!

Thanks for the support! I try to keep it as simple as possible for these videos. My camera had a mind of its own on this one but hopefully it isn't too distracting 👍

Thanks man, you just saved me at least $400 on an install. Just for everyone's reference, I'm not a mechanic but I'm pretty good with a wrench (I'm an engineer). I did this install by myself over a weekend in my driveway with only hand tools. Installed the rear on Saturday, took about 3 hours. No real issues there, getting the fender liners in/out was probably the toughest step. Installed the front on Sunday, took about 5 hours. I did some steps out of order and had to take everything apart and start again a couple of times, but once I figured out that first side the other was easy. The toughest part about the front is cutting the factory bump stops off or getting the shock back up inside the spring. It takes a bit of twisting, turning and forcing it in to make it through the hole. Wouldn't have felt comfortable enough to do it on my own without this video.

Great video. Wish i would have completed this myself but i thought it was harder. I paid 400 to have a shop complete my lowering installation. Great job and video

Thanks Billy! It's not too bad but it is a bit time consuming doing it by yourself. 😎

Did it or does it squeak when you hit bumps. Was wondering if grease had to be applied to coil when round donut looking bushing was applied?

I have a 16 Ram Sport. Looking at the 2/4 drop but curious if using a spring compression tool would eliminate disconnecting ball joints and tie rod ends?
@mikeatherton75804 жыл бұрын
Can this be done with a spring compressor to avoid undoing the ball joints?
@abelscaliber79694 жыл бұрын
Mike Atherton lol .. no and it’s very dangerous. Doing this without a compressor tool takes maybe 30 mins longer

I’m looking to do the same to my truck but mine is a 2wd 3.6l v6 I can’t find if the 2/4 drop kit will fit mine I’m guessing everything is the same except for the engine

Check Ebay. I saw one today for the 1500 w/V-6. Tried to copy link but my not so smart phone would not comply.

Awesome vid just quick question what type Of bump stops did you use after you cut the original ones out? And are they necessary to have those Bump stops after putting the lowering springs?
@abelscaliber79694 жыл бұрын
It’s recommended since the original ones will always be bottomed out on the lower control arm and will ride like shit
@marcoa.betancourt14693 жыл бұрын
Question, so basically all the kit is 4 shorter springs? I always have been a lifted truck guy, now i bought a ram 1500 and trying to go your style. And i dont know what pieces or kit do i need.

Do you know if they make a 2/2 kit for these trucks? (I know this is an old video sorry about that) but looking to lower my truck just a little bit but also keep that front end rake (I like the way the rake looks personally) cause I intend to still drive it daily and also haul/tow quiet a bit. Just figured I would ask. Thanks for any information you may have. My truck is a 4x4 by the way
@abelscaliber79694 жыл бұрын
The rear is easy you find a 2in drip spring the front is weird because you have struts and they are expensive...
@chadmiller15063 жыл бұрын
@@abelscaliber7969 To line up the rear axle and have correct the pinion angle, you have to change out the shocks and also install the Rear Control Arm Brackets.
@mohibsiddiqui82736 жыл бұрын
i see that you are missing some push clips on your left side fender liner, there should be two on the top section where it is sagging

Could I use my stock shocks ?
@sunburntodin9105 жыл бұрын
According to the website you can but they recommend using shorter aftermarket shocks.
