For anyone curious.. it was 90 degrees in the shade that day with 80% humidity.. my cameras and all my equipment were not having it.. this is why some of the footage gets choppy or cut short at times in the video.. I almost got heat stroke. It’s safe to say we were all fighting the HEAT! PS. Thanks to my brother who leant me his long tree rope 👍🏻

@@BiffsEquipment been doing good, Biff 👌 yeah talk about heat it’s been in the 90-90’s here in SC! 90 degrees and 90% humidity 🥵 I’m from up north and do not miss the snow and cold 🥶 You know you are the BX “Master FEL Operator”. A quick video about how you use the FEL like a ninja might get me to the next level. That level scraping like a bulldozer and then the final smooth out. It seems easy until you try it! I have over 600hrs on my BX so I know a little bit. Anyway, thanks for your content and God bless you and yours!

Biff; When cutting from a ladder you might consider using a cinch strap to secure your ladder to the tree and tie yourself off. A hard hat wouldn't hurt either in the case a dead branch should fall from above.
@BiffsEquipment
@BiffsEquipment 6 ай бұрын
Good thinking, a cinch strap woulda made that old ladder more stable too. I had forgot to bring my pole saw with me so I had to use the home owners ladder and that thing was about as wobbly as a new baby cafe lol. Thanks for the comment
@Kevinthomaswatson
@Kevinthomaswatson 6 ай бұрын
@@BiffsEquipment The problem with ladders is the large limbs being cut can drop down in a safe area but if they land on their tips they can bounce back and take the ladder out from under you and you end up on the ground usually in a bad way. I have a bx2370 and really enjoy your videos and the effort you put into them.

Nice work Biff. That grapple is a game changer for the BX. Anything to keep you in the tractor seat is a worthwhile attachment.
@BiffsEquipment
@BiffsEquipment 6 ай бұрын
Thanks Steve, you got that right buddy. The home owner and neighbor were really impressed with it, neither one of them had ever seen an Artillian grapple before and were amazed at the loads I was able to haul out of there with it and the minimal hand work that had to be done. Having a grapple is certainly a game changer

Sounds like you vern putting her to work over the last few years! They are really REALLY tough machines. Iv got over 1,000 VERY hard hours on my tractor.. with many of them purely abuse to the thing and it has yet to give me an issue yet. Just takes it and grins! I’m waiting for the day my axle finally lets out haha

love seeing what the little tractors can do! Have you considered getting a rear mower instead of the mid mount? Seems like you could use the clearance here and there.
@BiffsEquipment
@BiffsEquipment 6 ай бұрын
Thanks! I have debated on getting a rear mount mower but havnt ever pulled the trigger on one, but I want one mainly for doing big fields and such for jobs I do. As for the belly mower getting in my way.. I just take it off when I really need to. Lately I havnt been pulling it off as much as I use to though because now my trailer is wide enough to haul the tractor with it on.. but indeed it makes some jobs a lot easier with it off, I just need to take it off more often lol

Hey John! Thanks for all your support the passed year! I feel bad I havnt been able to keep up with my channel as much lately but hope to make a new video soonish. As for the tractor.. have you decided on which to get? I personally like the Kubota Bx more but may be biased because I own one.. but I have many hours in the seat of both machines. Personally I feel the John Deere to lack the power the Kubota has as far as engine torque though the John Deere can lift more than the bx. The bx can lift the same as a stock John Deere if you increase the hydraulic pressure over 2000psi though. It has to do with the Kubotas loader being farther out in front of the tractor than the Deere.. because the loader is farther out it requires more pressure to lift the same amount but because the loader sticks out farther on the Kubota you can see what your doing with the bucket much easier and grading is much easier too. Also the loader valve is much smoother on a Kubota because of the way they do their hydraulics. Lastly both my father and my friend have a John Deere 1023e and both have had the steering hydraulic line rub through at under 400 hours of use which is unacceptable to me. My Kubota has over 1,200 hours and has never had a SINGLE leak or mechanical failure to date. Both are great machines though don’t get me wrong. I can go in more detail of the pros and cons of each if you’d like just lmk.

It doesn't matter how nice your grapple is, and that is a great one, you still have to get off the seat and do hand work. Dang!
@BiffsEquipment
@BiffsEquipment 4 ай бұрын
Of course you’ll always still have to get off the seat from time to time.. but it GREATLY limits how often you’ll have to get off the seat and GREATLY minimizes the amount of hand work you’d have to do. Of course you don’t have to get off the seat if you don’t want to.. but if your a projectionist like I am then you’ll prolly want to lol

Would you not take the mower off or do you leave it on to protect the hydraulic cooler fan i have a bx2200 great video's thanks just watched your video on changing hydraulic oil and filter my next job
@BiffsEquipment
@BiffsEquipment 4 ай бұрын
Thanks Micheal! The bx2200 is a great machine! So as far as the belly mower goes.. I gotta be honest, Iv just been being lazy lately which is why I have been leaving it on for most the side jobs and work Iv been doing.. it is nice though to keep on when doing jobs in wooded areas or when clearing land because it will protect your HST fan.. but that being said I have cleared acres of land with my little bx especially in my older videos and I never use to leave the belly mower on. I even explained in the one video that I was surprised I never had an issue with breaking my HST fan.. but chalked it up to the fact that I am always very cautious about looking out for certain sticks or branches that can be forced up into it, and adjusting my driving or loader so that it pushes the branches away from the tractor and don’t go towards it.. which is how the HST fan normally gets taken out. If you go on my channel and search “Kubota bx clearing land on my property” I think you’ll find the video quite easily.. there may be a few of them but I know in one of them I mentioned it at the end and talked about it for a bit. Thanks for watching !

Don't get weeds wrapped around the driveshaft from engine to transmission. Also, have a mower on the back so you can clear a path while toting limbs.

Thanks Jack. From all the land clearing jobs Iv done with this tractor Iv never had an issue with anhtbjnf getting wrapped around the driveshaft. I have gotten a few sticks shoved up into thr HST fan though but have been fortunate to never have broken it with all the amount of stuff Iv put this tractor through. Thanks for the comment

@BiffsEquipment
@BiffsEquipment 6 ай бұрын
Haha yah it’s def a bit sketchy the first few times I ever went on and off that trailer as the ramps were modified so they would work to fit the width of my tractor.. (it was only suppose to be temporary till I welded hinges to them but never got around to it) now Iv gotten use to the sketchy situation and don’t worry anymore but still want to get those hinges made up.. maybe in an upcoming video 🤔
