First time I've encountered the term Free mo. What does it mean? This gargantuan layout is just spectacular

Free-mo is a set of standards for HO scale modules that can be combined into any number of configurations. There is also a version for N-scale, called Free-moN. They have a website: www.free-mo.org/

@@robertsimmons6464 I had a nice little 4x8 HO thing in the attic fifty years ago. It seemed at the time that ho train people were isolated but obviously that's not the case today.
