'Bootcamp' 5 - Picking Your Fights - EVE Online Solo PvP Tutorial

Good stuff. I need to stop worrying about my killboard and the real money I paid for my ships so much and get out there more. I usually have fun solo, and some of my best fights have been solo brawls. Nothing like fighting two experienced frig pilots solo in a 200 mil Daredevil to get the blood pumping.... About to cross 100 solo kills. Barely getting started.

Yeah, there's nothing like the tension and intensity when flying something relatively expensive, but I'm sure you learn a lot more by being calm and attentive in cheaper stuff. Definitely don't worry about the killboard though - it's just an intel tool and a nice reminder to look back on. Nobody else scrutinises your own as intently as you do yourself so don't a few red lines in a row hold you back. I often have the reverse of your problem: I'm far too keen to jump on any half-engagable fight at the first opportunity which just results in me having to make the same mistake 3 or 4 times instead of just once. The kind of patience and target selection talked about here is top of my list of things to improve on. Thanks for the video 3Tears - good advice and nice fights as always.

The killboard is such a bittersweet thing in this game. Its obviously a great intel tool, but its also a great way to look back and see all the awesome fights you've had. But on the other hand, it is probably a deterrent for PvP most of the time because of the social and self judgement that is unfortunately tied to it; like it makes you worth more or less in the game based on your KB. Keep it up man, sounds like you are having a blast :)

I cannot pick fights for my dang life, I take near any fight I can get. "Take what you can get" strategy doesn't really work out for me lol.

My killboard is of no concern to me, it is what it is, and well i live in low sec so choosing my fights is not always an option, lots of loki/tengu's around or being blopped :)

well cool video but this dosnt look like a game i see only numbers and what ever, i hate that there is no real action spaceship mmorpg game still with real pvp, not like this here only numbers :(

I mean, try it out for free. This is the realist pvp you'll ever experience. It looks like numbers because you don't know what you're looking at :) if I look at WOW gameplay it just looks like buttons and flashing lights because I don't know what I'm looking at

Honestly the best PVP playlist for newbros, do you have any plans on explaining when to use certain modules etc.? I know you mentioned in the first video you weren't going to do that but I was wondering if that's change. I've been watching and reading for hours about solo pvp being a new player and honestly, this playlist has given so much more information than all the others ive watched.

Good stuff! How do u get good fights? I feel like I’m always roaming until I hit a gAte camp in null. So I always go brawler and Gaye crash to split them. Do a video on how to solo split kite a gang

I take filaments often so nobody really has the chance to gate camp me. Whenever I go into a pocket I am extra quick but its also risky to do so.
