The problem arises when you try to install Windows 10/7 on your Macbook. During the installation, Macbook gives error that Windows 10/7 can't be installed on MBR partition. It must be GPT partition. You need to convert that partition to GPT using Erase option in DISK UTILITY. You should erase your drive with OS X Journaled. That's it.

Interesting… I followed your directions but I wasn’t able to reformat that partition in the Windows installation wizard. Instead I just deleted the partition, selected “new” and it created a usable partition for me (along with a 16mb partition). Thanks for the tip! I tried reformatting with Linux’s Gparted and Mac’s Disk Utility but I would’ve never guess to put it back into extended journaled format!

I’m so happy I found your video, that solved my issue. I’m actually using a old MacPro 5.1, Apple doesn’t officially support Windows 10 on these old systems so I had to install it a different way, then ran into this error. Glad this was able to solve my problem, thank you.

Are you able to install Windows 10? It remains black when you completely install and open windows 10? If the situation is like that and screen remains black then it's due to graphics driver. You need to uninstall original drivers inside Windows. You can do so by going to safe mode while starting Windows 10 on mac. it will start in Safe mode. Go to safe mode. delete the intel or whatever graphics driver you have there. Let the default VGA driver work. Once you do it then you will be able to open Windows 10 normally. Make sure you completely delete it else it installs automatically when Windows 10 boots normally and again you will see black screen. Hopefully you understand.
