Love your channel 💕 I am an antique shop OWNER ~ maybe one day you can do a video on how vendors need to be NICE to each other and treat the entire shop as WE PLACE not a ME place😊 I started out as a vendor in a 10 x 10 space in 2016 ~ as of last week ~ I now own the ENTIRE MALL (we have 35 vendors). I say this NOT OUT OF PRIDE, I SAY THIS BECAUSE THE PREVIOUS OWNER quickly became aware of the fact that there were certain people that were helpful, kind and found interest in not just helping themselves excel but helping others around them💕😊🌸

I have been selling at open flea markets for years. I have never sold in an indoor booth before. I am now getting ready to sell in a booth at a permanent location. These are some great pointers. Thank you

Have any ideas on what to do to make my lattice walls look better and more inviting? I’m thinking about painting.

Hi Cristina how are you , I have a booth wish I start with hand made crafting but is not selling so well so I start trifting , yard sells and other option to buy and have inventory. In my booth .I have a question if you can give me and advice how to keep my prices budge friendly to my customers and still make some profit I will apreciated .
@theturnedleg3 жыл бұрын
Well the more cost effective (cheaper) you can find your items the easier it is to pass along the lower prices to customers. My rule of thumb is for anything I buy if I cannot sell it (reasonably) for 3x as much then it is not a good deal. Maybe I will make a pricing video. I get a lot questions about it. Hope this helps! Best of luck in your booth.

I have a space at an antique mall that is out in the middle of a room, it has no walls!! How do you make walls and how do you make them safe.

Ruth I see that many of her doors are standalone (not hinged to another door for stability) but are on some kind of brackets or base so each one can be placed separately (and is lighter to lift). My mall guy used 4" steel mending plates 9 or L brackets (hardware store) at top, middle, bottom of doors to join them in a straight line ("wall") but has to use more of those hardware strips/pieces to connect my "wall" to a neighbor booth's wall to be fairly sturdy. If it's long, the end of the new wall needs another door or large furniture to attach to at a right angle for final stability If course doors connected at right angles or that are already bifold closet or interior doors are stable in their own. Could still be pushed over with effort but light booth use should be ok. You'll always be limited to some extent. I have a super fireplace surround with upper and lower mantles/shelves and a mirror between. Likely 125 lb or more. At home, I lean it against the wall and screw into studs. I'd never trust that our mall setup would support that plus all the merchandise that would be lost if it fell over. "A gal's got to know her limitations" 😳😅

I needed this-I have a space with very few walls and I've been looking for ideas. Thanks! Question: How do you define smalls? Are they small in size or small in price? Can big things be considered smalls? If it's price, what is the upper limit to be considered smalls?
@theturnedleg3 жыл бұрын
Smalls are small items. Large items like furniture. Usually smalls have smaller price tag…
@over50andthriving-x8l4 ай бұрын
Okay by "small" do you mean small items or priced under a certain amount?
@theturnedleg4 ай бұрын
Non-furniture.
