Bootlace Solomon Bar - Quick Cut

Instructions for how to tie the bootlace solomon bar design parachute cord survival bracelet without buckle in this easy step by step DIY video tutorial. This unique homemade 550 cord bracelet is tied with a simple loop and toggle knot closure.

Knots used: variation on the Solomon knot (cobra knot), toggle button knot. (no buckle).
Demonstration bracelet: 20cm or 8 inches
Materials used: 140cm (55 inches) and 240cm (94 inches) 550 parachute cord.

The King is dead? Long live the King? It has been suggested that the perfection loop better than the Bowline and is certainly superior when tying synthetics and rubber bunjy cords----How say you?

Different loops for different purposes. For ease of tying and untying under heavy loads, the bowline is hard to beat, while the perfection loop will jam if loaded too much. The bowline lacks security especially under conditions of loading and unloading or like you said in slippery synthetic or bunjy. For that there are lots of "finishing locks" you can put on the bowline. It highlights the reason to learn a variety of knots so you can use the best one for the job.
