They had one of these on the 80’s Cruise last year. When I saw it, I was like “OK, a bunch of NES games that I can play before Lou Gramm, Berlin, Thomas Dolby etc. start playing”. And man, those controllers were crap; the build quality was so poor I had to keep my fingers pressed on the A and B buttons just to keep them from falling out! Thank goodness they also had a few 80’s arcade cabinets providing an alternative. Seriously though, I had a great time. Gonna go again next year. Can’t wait!

That's not a "terrible idea" at all. It lets the customer know if the console works and what games it comes with, and if they like it, they buy it. It wouldn't inherently "make people want to buy it even less" because not everyone will think it's "terrible" because not everyone is you. I bought it for a friend and tried it out at home, and it has a good selection of games, as Conner pointed out here. You're essentially saying that being honest about the product is a "terrible idea."

Fun fact about Turtles 3 on nes.. It has copyright protection. If theres no konami logo on title screen, game will run in ultra hard mode (copy protect). Enemys take double amound of hits and last boss is unkillable. That "copyrighted" version was quite common in certain parts of world. First time I playd offical version.. I was like WTF, is this some easy mode or something, lol.

The box for mine looked exactly the same except there isn’t a visible box showing how many games are on there. The one shown in the video, you can see where it cuts the gradient off. The number on mine is much smaller as well.

I actually got the SNES classic first in late 2017 as I happen to find two available at one of the Targets in my hometown when I wasn't even looking for them. I bought one because I'm not an asshole scalper and I actually use the products I buy. Sometime in late 2018 Nintendo actually made sure there was a little more stock of the NES classic and the SNES Classic Plus the fact that not as many people were buying them and I found like 6 NES classic set another for SNES classic at that same Target and I bought one of the NES classics and I now have both and I enjoy them both. But since getting a switch not that long after, with the NES and SNES online play thing for the switch the NES classic in the SNES classic don't have as much of a point
