Just the cover and middle of the board. *Bwahriana:* Oh... well, the artwork is great and all... but it's missing one thing... *Me:* and what could that possibly be? *Bwahriana:* This. When it vanishes, I cough a few times and see, to my horror, that a few images of Ariana Grande have been slapped on to the cover, including her BE sprite) *Bwahriana:* There we go! That whole segment about the pocket money, the fair (or rather UNfair), railways, fireworks, dodgems(?) and the arcade, sounds awfully familiar to a Monopoly Junior edition. You know, the one where you are at a funfair with bumper cars and stuff. Kinda weird they would copy part of that description since Monopoly Junior actually has very low bills and property pricing.

I believe the extra 0 at the end was part of the whole Monopoly redesign from about a decade ago when they updated the prices to keep up with inflation. I've also played versions that replace the railroads with other forms of transportation, so that's not even the bootleggers being clever.

We went to a China Town where they selled bootleged board games around the quality you just described. The lines “Ride the railways, watch the fireworks,” etc shot me right back to to early ‘00s, and after some searching, I’ve found that it’s stolen from a description somewhere of the 1999 Monopoly Junior CD ROM game. I’ve never had a bootleg kick off such a powerful half-forgotten memory! The only place online I could find evidence of the full stolen line I remember was on a couple listings for Monopoly Junior Spongebob and Super Mario Bros on some random Facebook page. From what I can find, the 1999 CD ROM came in General Mills cereal boxes (which seems right since I got most of the CD ROM games I had that way), but I can’t actually find where the stolen line came from. [shrug]

Funnily enough I actually had a knockoff Naruto themed Monopoly Junior as a kid, and it was actually rather decent The properties were Naruto characters, the playing pieces were also Naruto characters with the correct names (although there were some oddities like "Hinata" with a picture of Sakura underneath), and the board actually felt like a legitimate Monopoly board I looked online, and there was also a rather convincing Pokémon one as well, complete with correct character names and themed board and playing pieces
