You know what's more hilarious? The first hero in the Metal Heroes line, Gavan, is what inspired the design for Robocop. So that's a Metal Hero (Gavan) inspiring Robocop inspiring another Metal Hero (Jiban) being bootlegged as Robocop. The circle is much crazier.

So basically what they did to Jiban was color him yellow, and turned his visor into a mouth guard. Another funny thing is there’s more of a circle going on here, is that one of the inspirations for Robocop was the very first metal hero, Gavan. Allot of people say 8 man was the main inspiration, which is true, but Gavan was definitely an inspiration for the armor at least. And hell, another Metal Hero named Janperson is literally just purple Robocop.

I got it! They wanted to copy the actual figures but they only had access to bits and pieces of actual figures and they were limited on what color of plastic they could use so they just Frankenstein’d their own figure and made a mold out of that and then used whatever plastic they had lying around

I remember getting a toy about the size of that cyboug, and it had the same legs, but a different upper body altogether. I think it may have been a knock off of a knock off. It fell apart easily but it did have more detail than this one.

I think the blinking eyes and chest remind me of Space Knight ROM. Also , the original blue figure has a black eye visor, but where is it on our bootleg? Oh, it’s clear now…and it’s a mouth shield? Whah? LOL The Turtle figures are so bad, it must have been an afterthought, thrown in to get you to but this yellow not-RoboCop. But, wow, yeah, they’re bad. This is a great review, to make me enjoy some OK/ really bad bootleg toys.
