People make Empire look bigger than it is
@aarongdukey6 ай бұрын
Sauce head is bigger than music. He’s applying it to music when that’s owned already. It’s owned by everyone who plays the music. He needs to have a company that people go to in exchange for their needs or entertainment to surpass the millions and into the billions. And that’s not a label. The labels provide the music, they don’t play it.

@@PoeDaddyRay where do people go for music, KZbin Spotify Apple Music SoundCloud. And these things are driven solely by ads and promotion from artists putting their music on there. These guys can partner with Techs and coders to create sites and apps and their fame alone would drive people to use them. Usually you hide who created the sites or music platform so that there’s no bias in using it. They definitely have enough money to do this. It’s just that the companies that be don’t want that competition. And they NEED these artists to survive. Whether it be music, visual art like movies and shows, or just straight up live streaming. They need these people. But the artists feel like they need them. If Jay Z made a music streaming platform, he’d have success in it, but why hasn’t he? Same thing for any actor or directo. Look at what Tyler Perry is doing. Having a channel and recording studios and sht. It’s most likely an unwritten rule in the game that you can’t do this on your own will or accord. They’ll prolly get rid of you for even trying to do so, like Tory. Even making your own label commercial is risky.

I understand where he’s coming from but if you’re a new artist coming out today right now you should have a balance your most commercial songs on streaming services albums should be direct to consumer at least for the first year after dropping the payout on 1 million streams is less than $3500. I’ve done the research and that’s if you’re not on a label if you’re dope, you’re super fans will buy your album if you can get 1000 real fans to spend 50 or more dollars on you within a year that’s great money if you out here independent and like I said you most commercial songs are still on streaming so if one of them takeoff great but I stand by this direct to consumer for your actual albums

@marcelmarshall42405 ай бұрын
That’s what I am saying. How much can his catalog be worth? I need this to be broken down even further. It takes BILLIONS AND BILLIONS of streams to make real money. I would not think all of his artists COMBINED…including himself..are not getting that many streams. I wonder if this is a way to distract from how most rappers REALLY make money. Those songs are not going to generate income like that. Take Bad Boy. Puffy gave back the publishing after it was not worth anything…and those songs were MAJOR hits. No way he is getting that kinda money if Bad Boy artists songs are dried up..in terms of streams and publishing.
