One thing you guys didn't mention or at least I didn't hear is that Sauce Walka and TSF did all this without really touring. It was mainly videos and streams.

@@moneysignclubboss First you need to do an audit of all content from the Artist I have one name Japanese from Panama, when we start he had 69K listener on spotify now he have about 580K just about year and half on audit, after that we do the Pub on those songs on his portion and that's another add on incormf or the artist, then soundexchnage, after we compete the full audit we optimize the catalog by partnering with producer to do remixes and EDM project and dot a 70/30 split for those project, we can turn a 30 song catalog easily to 120 in 2 years, hope this helps

Spotify’s splits aren’t the same for everyone. Sauce leveraged his own deals so I’m not sure if we should utilize the standard Spotify method with him or certain independent artists who consistently performs well within the streaming world (ie. Brent Faiyaz, PRE, etc). The independent distributors are definitely packaging their premium services for artists who fit that criteria. They’re connected with Ad Agencies, Sync Companies and Major Corporations. That’s what they do. Empire, UnitedMasters, etc. Gotta build your own infrastructure and systems. Exactly what Joyner Lucas and his manager is on. There are tons of reference points, even though this is the hardest route. It’s doable but not for everyone.

His daily streams on Spotify are like 80000 total, thats less than 2,5 mil a month. Spotify pays around 4k for a million streams so on his catalog, if he owns everything, thats not even 12 thousand.... Thats before paying producers and features they percentage, throw it in KZbin, apple music, whatever you want, thats not more than 20k, if he makes 6 figures every month thats because of all the artists he got signed and owns 50% of they shit so he is not making money of his music, he is making of other people music

Is over 4 mil streams independent on Spotify along with over 300,000 on Apple Music & over 200,000 on KZbin pretty good?? I’ve made a few thou off the music shit but not enough to live off. Mainly just doing it for the love at this point cause im 27 & washed up. But curious if I’d have any leverage based off this conversation?

Yeah, those numbers are good and making thousands off music streaming is a great start. But that’s all it is “a great start”. Professional Music Groups primarily make money off of Events, Music Retail, Merch, Sync, and Endorsements (in that order). So you got a great start in the business but are you hosting your own events? Your events will also open more opportunity for your Merch. That’s how to play the game. Events, Music Retail, and Merch. Best of luck out there!

@@steelokeyYou: “I just haven't been as active throughout the movement because there's a lotta bs and wack stuff that come along with it. So I guess … I'm at a war with myself and where I want to go. Cause the decision is mine and it's really up to how much BS I wanna deal with.” Me: Yep. The route that most take in this industry usually leads to dealing with a lot of toxic ppl (yep, a lot of unnecessary BS). My best advice is learning to be tech savvy, embrace being a “one man band” business, create solutions to problems within the industry (there’s a lot of em) and try your best to have fun throughout the entire process. For Example: I am a professional solo artist who also works part-time as a freelance event organizer (specializing in computer technology). I host hybrid concerts where the headlining artist livestreams from their music studio TO a real venue where fans gather to enjoy the show (I am at the venue working the AV booth and many times I am also the opening act performing LIVE in-person for the crowd). The headlining music groups are always way more popular than me because I usually contact my favorite music groups inquiring if they would be interested in performing from their home studio for a LIVE audience thats gathered elsewhere. (Headliners “Work From Home”, I am at the venue where fans also gathered to enjoy the show. Tickets are usually between $15-$25, I don’t want to list any names but let’s just say seeing these music groups LIVE in-person usually cost $75+ per ticket). Here’s my formula: Zoom Workplace + ListenTo by Audiomovers + Venue IRL = ‘Moment House’ concerts for a LIVE audience Also check out COSM in Los Angeles, California to see the Sports Industry’s take on this concept. Best of luck!

This strategy of having huge discography just got wiped out by Spotify having the thousand play threshold for each song each year, the bigger your catalog now the more likely you will not get a thousand plays per song per year which will disqualify your entire discography from receiving payment, idk why nobody is talking about this or why labels and artists aren’t scared rn but it’s a problem everyone will be running into

The sauce family and Stinc team are the definition of independent success when u own 100% of your music u get paid way more per stream so when I hear people complain it’s like do you own your publishing? Did u pay the producer for rights? It’s all about % you own but must artist don’t own shit!! That’s why u make .0005 per stream no ownership u can’t even buy a lease for the beat so yea the producer taking everything from u or if your signed up probably gave all your points away to the label 😂

50 50 split on every record with the artist . Those artists are suckers. Big record labele used to take 50 50 split 20 years ago . with 20 for publishing and 40 points for label and 40 for recordings. That was with major physical distribution and promotion. Now with digital distribution they only take 20 % . How is he taking 50 . And is that 50 after publishing or before
