In this video I go over how to read and interpret Bootmod3 (BM3) data logs, and how you can become proficient in understanding how to read your cars data logs.

Well needed for n54 owners in Australia. Just loading pre made maps without understanding logs is crazy.

Great video even though I'm a few years late lol! I have an F82 M4, what is an acceptable range of boost deviation before you suspect a boost leak? Also, cylinder 4 on my car usually lags behind the other 5 cylinders more often than not. In searching the interwebs, I see many other S55's having the same issue adding cylinder 6 as well. Any ideas? Thank you, and sorry for the necro post! I'm on a BM3 Flex Fuel multimap stage 1 in slot 3.

haha this is an old video now! still somewhat relevant though - usually 3+ psi and high WGDC (like 90+) would be a good sign of a boost leak How much IGN deviation do you see on Cyl 4? on pump gas up to 3 degrees of variance is usually fine - usually if you see throttle closure you can see ign variance due to the turbulent air and uneven distribution between cylinders

@@NavardiTuned Sometimes cyl 4 is locked in with the others, sometimes several degrees off. Attached is a log I took this afternoon of a quick pull showing cyl 4 lagging and some boost deviation. www.bootmod3.net/log?id=6699944b4e7898129382b3e5

So what happened to the n20 build? Looking at the other videos you had it all put togheter ready to go into the car like 8 months ago... Would be great to see a video on the progress you have made on the build. Im really curious to know if the n20 can run reliably with something over 300 hp.

Ken's car the engine builder incorrectly installed the sleeves, and ended up damaging the block, so after many months of arguing the engine builder agreed to cover the costs of the damages, and we now have a new block put together from a different engine builder, and will be on the dyno this thurs (18MAR21) with a N55 turbo bolted to it, new video coming out end of month hopefully :) on the testing we have done, already hitting 28psi and its ridiculously quick! We are filming all day thurs (18MAR21) then it just depends how long post processing takes us, then off to uploading!

Hi, I’m having a issue with a fbo n20 It doesn’t have a leak I’ve done smoke and pressurized tests but the car drops significantly below target the higher the rpms. Target 24 and I’ll hit 17lbs can you lead me in the right direction? To add to the issue, some pulls it holds boost perfectly and some it doesn’t
