Cuffed always says "I'm trying to look cool." A well-fitting pair of pants simply worn as-is always looks better IMO.

Great video William, one of the best. I am a loyal UK viewer aged the wrong side of 60. I've just returned to wearing jeans after many years - make that decades. I got myself slim fit pairs of Levi's, Wranglers and some selvedge jeans. I'm wearing Thursday Captains. I am a big guy, over six feet tall and as we say in England, "big boned". Can a big guy over 60 get away with cuffed jeans? Stacked - I wouldn't go there!

I must confess I think cuffed jeans look good on people with slimmer to average builds, and that are maybe a little taller than I. For me i'm 5' 10" and well on the bigger side, cuffing just makes me look a little dumpy and my legs shorter. Especially so because being 250 lbs and trying to wear slim jeans is obviously not the move. I wear Levi 502 regular tapers because they still taper in and give a nice tailored look, but I usually still have to get my 40x30s hemmed a bit for that no break look.

They fit over cowboy boots specifically because of the tall and wide shaft required to pull them on. You don't need that at all for 6 inch lace up boots, chelseas, etc. I understand liking the look of them for sure but saying all boots need or excel with bootcut jeans is just not true.

I enjoy a good bit of your boot content, but as a guy who grew up on horses, worked for years from horseback, and worked for years on the ground in agriculture wearing packers or pull on riding boots or redwi g work boots, I think this video is funny as hell. We could afford only one set of jeans, and we wore them long, stacked. If you got them shorter, when you get in the saddle, they run up your legs and you look like a kid with last year's pants.

It depends on who you are. I like a LIGHT cuffing that is barely obvious because its a slender cut, and I do it more to accentuate my boots but also not get them caught up on my pants. I do think it looks cooler. But I do think it's annoying if you use TOO MUCH cuff. I don't like the way pants falling over boots looks, but just my opinion. I also don't give a fuck how another man wears his pants.

I'm older. I'm just watching out of interest. Wait til I tell you what I did for a couple of months in my life, for a laugh. I had pretty skinny jeans, although they weren't so tight from about 4"and or 5" from the ankle. They started life, originally, as too long. I cut them across with scissors, to a 'slightly, too long' length, so as just to let them fray. Then I cut up the inside seam by about 2" and wore them with black suede Cuban heeled Chelseas. Oh, I almost forgot to mention. The jeans were black, so I layed them flat in my mother's bathtub and just poured a bottle of bleach all over them, in various sized blobs and stuff, front and back and once they were all white, grey and black bits that I was happy with, I rinsed all the bleach off with a showerhead. The bleach idea came from what skinheads used to do with skintight blue jeans, which they then wore with braces and oxblood or cherry red Docs. Except I was into Crazyhead and The Cult and had long hair way down my back. I made cuffs sometimes before they were called cuffs, too. We just called them turn-ups. Point being: Enjoy yourself, try new things, do whatever makes you feel good and feel happy and don't give a shit what nay sayers or boring squares say. Having said that, I'm not sure about cuffing, now, at age 52, ha. Fine if you do, it's just me being self-conscious. But you should definitely do it if you like the look and want to. It looks good to me. And don't listen to these guys who infer that it look like 'this' or it means you 'that' (like it's try-hard, etc). It doesn't mean shit except it's your clothes, your sartorial choices and your own personal style. And it's nothing compared to what I used to do, or the shit I used to get off the local hicks back in about 1986, 7 or 8.
