Let me say in, complete seriousness, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. THANK YOU for continuing to post your interesting, informative, humorous, and inspiring videos. In this stressful reality we've been living in, I have found your videos help brighten my mood. Someday soon (thanks to your videos) I'm hoping to try carving one of my own lures. I can't imagine the feeling it would be to catch a fish on a lure I made myself. I wonder how many others you've helped and inspired. It would be neat if you had a Facebook page or blog or something that people who've watched your videos could post a pic of lures they've made maybe with fish they've caught on them as well. Anyway, seriously thank you so much for sharing with us all. Stay safe, and happy fishing 🎣

So here we are a couple years later and I'm still here, still watching. Actually I remember now it was the most expensive lure video mimicking the one from that Japanese company - - I don't even know how long it's been since that video. The days are blurring together

your IR thermometer may get fluctuating readings when you try to take temp on a smooth shiny surface, something about how the laser reflects creates unreliable readings, try hitting only the cut areas on the mold and you may have a better reading, I have the same issue doing HVAC work, cant shoot a shiny copper line with IR for temp have to use a strap sensor
@Mr2rojan4 жыл бұрын
Have had the same issue on car parts. Clean chrome is the worst.
@stinkyfungus3 жыл бұрын
Look in the manual and see what the emissivty settings are for the unit. May be adjustible - if it is, go on net' find a website that discusses IR thermography and find out what the emissivity of various materials is. Set emissivity to match the value for the material you will be trying to take a reading on. Should help. If the emissivity isn't adjustable - find out in the specs what your IR thermometer is set to, and make a "test patch" of material that matches the setting you can stick via adhesive, clamp magnet etc. To the item (obviously this wont work for liquids 😥) but for polished solid objects like metal plate, ducting or chrome pipes... it should help

Thermal dynamics is as much an art as it is a science. Thank you for the experimenting and showing the process. The black flake at the bottom might make less countershading on the bait and easier for the fish to spot from below in clearer waters.
@Krealot4 жыл бұрын
A tip for pouring layers is to let the layer stiffen then go over it with a burner so it softens and then let the new layer do the rest. That way they will grip eachother better and you don't need to worry about the melding of colors.
