Seems like they might be introducing a new tablet to go with this. Perhaps a new 13.3" with a cover that has an appropriate loop to fit this specific pen...

You're right, according to E-ink's internal staff, the 300ppi 13.3-inch E-ink screen is out.

I like this. If it’s priced reasonably, I’d buy it for the aesthetics. If the paint holds up and doesn’t chip.

I got one of these pens, too, and I really really like it as a writing pen. But (like yourself) I wasn't quite sure what Boox expected from me. I'd be very happy to publish a review and recommend it but because it isn't available anywhere, I felt there would be very limited interest. So I've just been holding off until Boox made an announcement or asked me for feedback lol. I do really like it, though - I have the lid permanently attached to the flap on the case of my NA3 and yank the pen out when I need it. Not the most ideal solution (I imagine it's going to cause premature wear-and-tear on the flap) but it does work pretty well.

Hi! I have a question, where is the center of gravity of the new Boox pen? Is it balanced right in the center, or heavier at the tip?

While watching KZbin reviews I realised that most people use these devices primarily for taking notes, besides reading of course, but if you only want to read you get a cheaper device without pen. So the note-taking experience is really important. People have many different preferences when it comes to pens, which makes sense because peoples hands and how they use a pen vary a lot, so it will be hard to make the perfect pen that fits everyone. Therefore it makes sense to have many different pens and nibs to choose between. I also think that shows they should deliver all the devices with better writing surface, although what is better in that regard is probably subjective too. That said, there’s nothing about this pen that appeals to me personally. It looks more like a real pen which is nice I suppose, but I don’t think that will be enough to convince many to buy it. I assume they know their customer base but I would have thought a focus on more functionality and practical ergonomic designs would be interesting to more people than a just a “luxury” stylus. I got the Lamy pen for the extra eraser button, and also got felt nibs at the same time. I hadn’t used any Lamy pen before so I wasn’t sure if I would like it, but I do like the triangular grip that pen has. It won’t be a good fit for everyone though. To me the Lamy pen is clearly a better option than this new pen. I don’t care that it’s not magnetic, but it would be nice if the Boox covers had a pen loop for non magnetic pens.

I use a blue aluminum Lamy EMR pen every day and love it. I'd never buy a pen without an erase button though. The smart scribe erase on Boox is not really good enough for me. ...give me a pen in Blue or racing green and chrome with an erase button and I'd jump at that.

Does your blue aluminum Lamy EMR pen work without any issues on the boox note air 3 c?

Looks like a pen intended to be kept in your top pocket, not on your device. There is sense in this, especially if you own more than one eInk device but use the pen inter-changeably between them. I never put my ink pens with my paper notebook, because I have multiple notebooks and multiple pens with different tips and colours - I keep them in pockets or on a string around my neck. So I don't think the lack of magnet is necessarily a deal breaker. If I had two or three of these I'd keep them with different nibs in a pocket, but in that case I'd want them available in different colour casings!

I'm surprised you have not mentioned anything at all about the duo Kobo Colour. Will you have a review on them soon? Thanks.

Maybe you can attach it to the cover closure flap with the cap clip? Or keep on your shirt collar 😎 Anyhow, no eraser would make it an exciting quality pen I'd never default to. Strange design choice.

How does the feeling compare to the scribe pen from amazon ?

I bought the Kaweco aluminium sport pen some months ago. Also not magnetic and no eraser. I dont miss it at all. I dont really trust the magnet anyway, and the since the ai scribe update the scratch erase is good enough gor me. Benefit of the Kaweco however is the robustnes of the alluminium and the screw on top. Not sure how robust the gold on this boox black pen will stay after carrying it seperately and if the top will come off more easily after extended use

It would be interesting to know how it feels on the SuperNote devices. It may improve the paper like feel on those devices while maintaining the quality feel of Heart of Metal pens.

Please make a comparison with other Boox pens, like the one that comes with Boox Note Air 3. Also, compare with Samsung S6 Lite pen. Thanks!!

I don't get it tbh... even if it is going to be for sale, its goin to be $120+ at least... crazy when the pen 2 pro is $79 and does everything you need a stylus to do and you can get a nice thick Wacom ONE for $30 that will also work great and is better for drawing. This new metal stylus is all about the looks and status which just doesn't compute for me, its a stylus it doesn't need to look like a Monte Blanc... seems silly to me, but I guess I am not a CEO/CFO
