Hey bro! Respect the decision and really appreciate the perspective! I was really torn between the Go 10.3 or Note Air 3C. My use case is for public speaking, note taking, and reading if possible. I loved and preferred the look of the 10.3, but the lack of backlight for when I'm traveling and taking notes at different conferences or speaking and needing access to my notes in a dark room was a deal breaker. I honestly feel like the Note Air (B&W) would have been perfect (especially at only $20 more than the Go 10.3) but I couldn't find it in stock anywhere. Thanks again man and I look forward to your future stuff!

@@AlexCdeBacatech thanks! I gave the NA3C some rough love but its a good device for your use-case. The front light will be super beneficial for you. Enjoy!

🙋♂Hey Roderick! I think there might be a quality control issue with the NA3C as I don't have any of the issues you mention the light bleed through and the "Shallow Hal" feelings around the edges of the device. However, the color issues are what they are, and it's not an issue for me. You can play with the "Color Enhancement", "Vividness Enhancement" and "Color Brightness" to alter colors a bit. Well as always kudos from NYC.🗽
@rantsabouttechnology2 ай бұрын
Well that's good to know. Glad it's not every device, that would suck. Yea, the color is what it is. The trade off you make for the writing feel. Thanks for stopping my Dan!🤙🏾

I have a RM2, an NA3C, and a Nomad. I got the Remarkable to take notes, but those notes were very hard to get off of the device and while it is thin, it was too big for my desk. So I moved on to the NA3C, the size works much better for me because it fits between me and my keyboard with room to spare! It is very easy to move my notes to other devices because of the Android operating system and the Google Play Store. It plays well with others. Plus you can use a usb drive to back things up without a subscription or send things to third party cloud storage. I enjoy having access to my other apps such as Google Keep, GoodReader and the internet in general. I use a third party screen cover on all my devices and that makes the writing surface a non issue for me personally. I do however love the case that it comes with and the AI features make taking notes and ERASING a breeze. As someone with dyslexia I make mistakes constantly, so quick and easy erasing is a very convenient thing for me. I also enjoy the back light when I have to take notes in a darkened conference room. As always, love the content! Keep it coming. Thanks for your hard work!

Thanks for your input. I'm gonna compile all these things that people mention into another video, showering the NA3C with some love, after all the hate, lol. Till next time✌🏾
@ScottBenedict2 ай бұрын
I know you've made numerous videos about it, but I just don't get why you hate on this so much! 😁 I love it. Not as much as my Go 10.3, but I love it. I do notice the weight compared to the Go 10.3, but now that it has the newer Note interface I like it a bit more. I don't like the TAB interface as I don't want an e-ink tablet. I want a note device that I can use to read (kindle, pocket, PDFs). I like the surface and I LOVE the contrast between the dark gray and the orange!!!! I haven't noticed the creak in the corner like you have noticed and I haven't noticed the cursor either. I don't stare at a color image on the screen to notice the degradation and the reason that the Tab Mini C has better colors is because they're more densely packed because of the screen size. I don't care about the battery life as it's a compromise because of it being color (need front light on) and BSR technology. I charge every few days and since I'm never too far away from a charger, it's not something I worry about. I agree that the USB and speaker ports are in a bad place and I wish they kept the on/off button consistent between the Go and the Note Air 3C. I'm always clicking on the wrong side because on each, they're in opposite places. I used to think the NA3C was thin until I got the Go, but they are both thin. I'm keeping both as well as my Scribe (are you going to hate on that as well? LOL). Keep up the great work!
@rantsabouttechnology2 ай бұрын
LOL, thanks for the comment man, I actually thought about buying the scribe, just to hate on it (and I still might). Yea my hate for the NA3C is well documented at this point, and it's just due the fact that I wanted it to be great, and I'm coming to realize that it can be, under the right circumstances. My next vid will be showing it some well-deserved love. Because despite its flaws, one commenter put me on to a point that I think is important enough to mention. A point that I had forgotten about after my research was done. I'm never worried about battery either so I feel ya on that, which plays a part in the next vid. I see you a fan of the 10.3 Power Button too? Awesome right!!??🙂 Thanks again, and always good hearing from ya! :)

The NA3C is my only tablet. I use it for web browsing as well as notes, email, one note, and Google docs. The BSR is a huge plus for me. Battery still easily lasts 3-4 days for me. If all I do is read books in HD mode, I can get 7+ days easy. For me the addition of color added enough value to the device that I could justify the price tag vs something that was "just" for notes and reading.
@elyodeel2 ай бұрын
The dark screen doesn't bother me much at all. I don't need the front light at all when I'm at the office. I love reading in bed, and at that time the front light is a necessity.

Thanks for the response and good to know. There's been an overwhelming response for the NA3C so I'm gonna do a poll and add these responses to a NA3C Love video. This was a good point that someone else brought up as well, So I'll definitely mention it.🫡

I'm in grad school right now so my reason for getting the NA3C was to read articles with color figures and also have a note taker. Having said that, i actually ended up getting the Tab ultra c pro as a laptop replacement and read articles on that. I'd say if you just need something to take notes on and won't be reading magazines and articles in color, the Go 10.3 has better note-taking features.
@rantsabouttechnology2 ай бұрын
I totally agree with that. The problem with e NA3C now is that theres a better note-taker, like you said, in the Go 10.3. And there's a better multimedia device in the Tab Ultra C/Pro. So I guess if you don't have the budget for both of those, the NA3C will do the trick, albeit a bit crappier and with worse build quality, lol. Thanks for stopping by and contributing to the conversation. Taking all of the advantages people in the comments provide for another "NA3C: The Love" video. Thx!

I think the "ad" you were seeing in the RSS was the paywall that the New York Times has for all of its articles. RSS apps can't circumvent those content restrictions, so you'd still need to have a NYT account to view articles even with the RSS. It'll just give you a convenient place to look at articles from several different sources. You can also circumvent that problem by populating your feed with sources without paywalls. Examples that are credible and minimally biased include NewsNation, Associated Press, and Voice of America.
@rantsabouttechnology2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the explanation. I was able to get around it but good to know it's not an Onyx Paywall.

I love my Note Air 3c though it’s definitely not a perfect device by any means. I don’t have that same creek (I checked). The lighting issue is a thing but it’s not a big deal for me. As far as use case - I use it for reading (kindle and PDF) which I think is great. I also take meeting notes, planner etc which I love on it. I use it for emailing (with Bluetooth keyboard) and my Bible software (Logos) runs great on it. Remarkable and SuperNote can’t do all that. I wanted this size but really don’t like the form factor or widget UI of the Tab series. I also wanted the refresh tech for that Bible software and color for highlighting books.

Hello and thanks for stopping by. I understand your use case (very similar to mine) but those are all Boox features that they all have. Is there something about the Note Air 3C that you can't get from any other Boox device, other than the screen film?

@@rantsabouttechnology The NA3 just happens to fit what I want best in the BOOX lineup - screen size, light, BSR, case with vertical orientation. I have held the tab ultra and really don’t like the feel of it in comparison to the note series.

*If the battery only lasts a day out-of-the-box, then it clearly isn't going to last a day after the cycle counts clocks up.* I haven't got any idea how fast the battery degrades per cycle count, only that all batteries do, and this is an issue few consider when purchasing colour devices which burn through charges and you can add to that... the problem of having to _'crack the case'_ to effect a repair. Eventually, they'll produce a colour screen that doesn't require an extra chip burning through your charge as it cleans up the image, but until then... I'm remaining with monochrome devices unless I stumble upon a really cheap device on eBay.

Agreed, and cycle count is something I actually never considered here. Thanks for the heads up.

@@rantsabouttechnology Its the reason I purchased two spare batteries for my Max Lumi 2 from China _[AliExpress],_ I don't actually need to fit one yet, but I'm not looking forward to cracking open the case. As you may know, new EU regulations insist that all electronic products must allow the user to replace the battery. Supernote is geared up for this _[A6X2 and the soon to be released A5X2]_ So I assume Boox will sort their house out soon.

I like hearing the hates first. Because then the only things left are the likes. Most reviewers won’t do that in favor of brand approval. With that being said….out the the 3-4 main boox devices, which top 2 for writing/notes day usage? That will frustrate us the less than the others 😂

Appreciate the approval, lol. I know I'm hating on it now, but I have to say, the top two for me, for note-taking would be the Note Air 3C, or the Go 10.3. Out of those two the Go 10.3 will frustrate the least and look the best. But if you need color....

@@rantsabouttechnology I darn near pulled the trigger on the 10.3 yesterday. But stopped short of hitting the buy button. I do see the cursor also on the tab ultra c and I do find it annoying. One thing I’ve seen on other videos about the note air 3c is the cover case. It seems to be the better one of the devises. Also not having the camera is a plus. I can’t comfortably write on my tab ultra without the case because of the camera bum and the keyboard case has also a downfall for writing
