In my place Go 10.3 150$ pricier than the actual price. Is it still worth it? Other boox with the same price is note air 3, and tab ultra bw/c (c 50$ pricier). Any suggestions?

Great points, but what if remarkable or any other note system checks out in a few years? Have you tried the everbook system? Its not electronic, and cannot edit as precise as the eink tablets. Thanks for the shout out Roderick, really appreciate it. The Supernote gesture hammer was brilliant, and I was still laughing when you called me a fanatic. 😁. Also, completely agree about the back button in the ToDo list, although the notebook link is kind of cool. Just an FYI, you can edit ToDo items. Instead of long pressing, just press quickly and you can move, edit, delete. One other quick thing, have you tried enabling "No Load Shutdown" and disabling the screen saver? That might mimmick the behavior you see on Boox, just a thought. Great video as always.

I meant fanatic in the best possible way, lol. Just means you're unapologetically dedicated to the Supernote platform. I've tried the "No Load Shutdown" but in my testing it still uses about the same amount of battery as when it's just on. So I didn't see the advantage. I'll try that To Do editing today, but I'm almost certain it didn't allow me to do anything but edit the title, not the scheduled time. I LOVE my Go 10.3. I have the Kindle Scribe as well as the Note Air 3C, but right now, I'm loving my Go 10.3. I love the sleekness, the screen, and the new interface. I don't use mine as a tablet, sticking only to reading and notes on this device. No social media, no email, no notifications and do not disturb mode for me. This gives me the feel of the Remarkable or Supernote, but the option of apps. The text looks as if I took a sharpie to the screen. The contrast in excellent. I'm loving the 300dpi and it not having a front light is not an issue because I don't take notes in the dark. If I want to read in the dark, I usually use my smaller Kindle Signature. I only use the front light on my NA3C because color screens need it most of the time. I started with the Scribe as my gateway device. I like it, but it's too restricted when it comes to the note-taking abilities. Great build, great pen, great screen though. I was going to get a Remarkable but after watching Kit, Voija, and Brandon, I chose the Boox Note Air 3C and love that device. Although the colors are more muted than the Tab mini (probably due to the density of the pixels on a smaller screen), I love it for what it can do and the colors are good for the most part, though some a tough to distinguish. But now that I got the Go 10.3, the NA3C feels like a brick! LOL. Still use it and it's great that they both sync up easily. I would like a 7in companion device, but the Tab Mini is too thick and the A6x2 won't sync with my Boox devices, so holding out that Boox will come up with a 7in Note or Go series!!

As always, a great video. I appreciate your perspective and throwing out these types of questions. As for the Go 10.3, I would really be interested in the whole Boox versus more minimalistic device issue from your point of view. I saw your other video on the Tab Mini C and know you like options, but can there be too many options? Can't wait for the Supernote Review. As for memberships and livestreams, I struggled with that myself. I started livestreams by working with Kit and then my own even before I monetized. It would be cool for some of us smaller channels to do something like what Kit, Voya and Brandon do (anyway just a thought on my end). Memberships are hard, I took the advice of my community and haven't done it yet. I have been more focused on affiliate links and ad revenue in the short-term. I reacived this device yesterday and returning it. It is to dark to read without light indors. This would not be an issue if dirty efect from uneven light. This was my first ereader. My main reading is at night. Screen with light looks dirty even after refreshes on highest qualiy on blank page. Leds are on top and create dirt pattern from shadow. Screen was not properly glued and light pases underneath. If build quality was better and black white version avaible with better contrast this would be perfect device for my use. China has name Tab8 for black/white version and Tab8c for color. Sad we have only color. Probably going now for Boox Page or old OLED tablet with this size. If you primarly use at night I think LED can give you better result with les light that Kaleido color for reading at night. I dont write pros becouse it is good device but little to expensive for that quality. No smal 8 inch OLED matte tablet on market. Pretty limited options for me.
@rantsabouttechnology6 күн бұрын
I agree with the screen being on the darker side, and mentioned that in my review. I wish they had come out with a black and white one here. That would have been great. You might like the Go 10.3? Have you looked at that yet?
@westsidepimping5 күн бұрын
GO 10.3 looks to big for me, but I could try it. Thanks. I tried regular tablets with similar size but they are mutch heavier than e-ink tablets and glossy as mirrow so maybe it is worth to try. 8 inch seems to be optimal for a reader when using Mini C. I work professional all day on matte monitors and really wanted to give my eyes some rest with more time on "personal" reading.

I purchased one through Amazon from Boox and wound up sending it back. Not because it doesn't function well, because it does, but because the dark screen for reading ebooks was too much and I never could get it to look right. I always could tell the clarity of text was not as crisp and clean as on my other ereaders. Secondly, the color is a nice feature but images always have a cartoony look. I did like the size of tge device but at that price point I want near perfection. So, consequently I bought a Boox Page instead.
@rantsabouttechnology7 күн бұрын
Hello, and I can totally understand that. That is my biggest gripe with books. Products in general, is that because of all the extra layers. (Light layer color layer capacitive touch layer), think never really seen close enough to the screen to be satisfactory. Trade-offs I guess, LOL. Have you seen the gold color? 7? I suppose that wouldn't solve your problem either because it also has a front light and a color layer just like the tab mini C. Thanks for the comment!
@westsidepimping6 күн бұрын
I also have same conclusions and returning it. If someone reads at day outdoors and is able to leave with greynes of the screen then maybe this good option. Getting this thing to comfort reading at night takes a lot of light. Can you share your expirience with Boox Page after you reacived ? I think we have similar light tolerancy. I'm thinking of buying smal old OLED Samsung tablet, iPad mini, if Page is not enough or going crazy with Fold 5 / S24 Ultra with antiglare or not buying at all.
@philologus65776 күн бұрын
@@westsidepimping I just got my Page today and am really liking it. It does need some tweaking for each app just like the Tab Mini C and isn't quite as fast as the Mini, but it's just fine for book reading. I installed Kindle and the Nook app and Libby and all work well. The text is much cleaner than the Tab Mini and crisper. The lighting is really good. I can adjust it just the way I like it. The screen size is the same as the Kindle Paperwhite, but I enjoy having the large bezel on one side and the ability to use the page turn buttons. You do have to turn on "use volume control for page turns" within the Kindle settings but once you do it is pretty fast at turning, and quiet. If you order from Boox, it comes with a magnetic case and is on sale for $219, but there isn't free shipping. It made me a little mad because if I pay $20 to ship a device I expect at least three days of service. It took three days before they even mailed the device and another ten days because they sent it at the cheapest and slowest rate possible by UPS. However, it did arrive in perfect condition and now that I have it I think I will be very satisfied. The Libby app works well on it too and so I can borrow books from the three libraries I'm a member of. If you have any other questions about it feel free to reply and Ill get back to you as soon as I can.

Totally agree on your points and even more on the Quick Access Menu part. That is why I stick with Supernote Ratta. That menu is really important in organizing my activities and my profession! What I usually find awesome about the quick access is the following. I create a main file for a subject, say Spring choir 2024. In that main file, I have the list of all the links to the pdf of the partitions. So, when I'm in my choir practice, no need to navigate in the system, just open the quick access menu and access my main file for the choir and navigate through my list of links. I used the same logic to access all my notes for my classes I was teaching. A total game changer!!!
