Honestly I don't think that will be an unpopular opinion. In many respects, DC Collectibles sculpts were superior, with characters given much better attention to detail and the source material. Maaaaybe I will do a Versus at some point.

Honestly, if Murder Machine had come out like... 6 months to a year before Cyborg, im sure that this Cyborg would have been the real reason they made Murder Machine, a test run for a niche character on the parts to make sure Cyborg was good to go. But 3 years is such a wild length of time to not reuse the Murder Machine parts for Cyborg

@@5POAFigureReviews my uneducated guess is that a lot of early Multiverse releases were essentially test runs for the bodies, molds, and distribution that McFarlane wanted to have with a full DC Line. And, in their estimation, making a minor Batman variant that if there were issues would be relatively fine but non-essential was preferable to making a core Teen Titans/Justice League character with those issues. It's my guess as to why we got a lot of Death Metal/Modern stuff for the hard-core fans at the start of the line and are only recently getting more classic/definitive versions of characters.

This really feels like a year-one McFarlane DC Multiverse fig. The sculpt, the round ankle and wrist balls, the single accessory with nothing extra in the box, all released as a non-Gold Labe non-Platinum non-Collector Edition figure. And I love it.

I tried a silver paint marker on Brainiac. It looked great, very shiny, but it streaked bad, and the thing that made me swear off the method... It is still wet a year later! it never dries! leaves silver streaks on your hand or whatever it touches. Because it never dried I couldn't even seal it because the sealant just mixes with the paint. It may work for paper, but not plastic. Silver acrylic paint, did work, dry and could be sealed.

Sorry buddy, no plans to review Bat-Manga. It's just Knightfall with a new head, logo, and belt, so I don't think it's really makes sense for me to drop $30 on it. Maybe if I find him discounted at some point.
