The ice fishing story sounds like an encounter with a REAL wendigo, not the recently made-up creepy-pasta fake version of a "wendigo". A wendigo is a human who has been possessed by THE Wendigo, an incorporeal cannibalistic spirit that haunts desolate places, especially in winter in the boreal regions of Canada. All the signs were there. A wendigo will turn to the dismemberment and devouring of animals if he cannot find human flesh. They are often wracked with guilt, similarly to real skinwalkers. When the strange man muttered about "what was out there", he was referring to the possessing, cannibalistic, incorporeal spirit of The Wendigo, which had possessed him. We need more stories about real wendigos, if such can be found. We need to call out as fakery those made up stories about "wendigos" that have the face of a deer skull and antlers. The real folklore is much more terrifying than nonsense made up by twerps.
@iamamaniaint2 ай бұрын
They need to work on their "true story" prose to make it more believable. The way it's written is too... writerly. This is not how someone would recount such experiences.
@FireStick-nu4pn2 ай бұрын
He has a professional writer revise the stories. In fact, he promotes his works. They have to be revised because they ARE usually written so poorly. Have you read a KZbin comment section? It’s like they never heard of punctuation. Our schools are making people dolts on purpose, but that’s a whole different rabbit hole. 🕳

The guy in that first story was so overdramatic. They probably ran into a tweaker or crazy hermit who'd lost it and was squatting in his fishing hut. When he was confronted he lashes out and ran. Nothing more to it. There wasnt anything deeper or more sinister going on lol.

Maybe i've been listening way too long to this channel. Ultimately, all the stories start sounding the same. Same adjectives, Same descriptions, Same sayings, and gestures. I can almost tell you how every story is going to end or what's going to happen next. I think you need to change it up a bit... It's starting to get really boring.
@BoozeandBoos2 ай бұрын
@maxmcgraw3571 sorry you feel that way man. There's only so much I can do when it comes to the content out there and the stories themselves. My buddy zack is the one who finds the stories for me and i know he's very limited on resources to find them. Reddit mostly and user submissions. In order to do 2 episodes per week 45 min to 60 per is giant task to find stories to fulfill that kind of demand. So unfortunately sometimes the stories might have a similar theme or feel to them. I find most of them at least halfway believable compared to some of the nonsense that's out there & I want to post stories that are believable and not fiction. Maybe take a break ? Or find another channel to bounce back and fourth with mine and theirs to scratch that itch and find something more appealing. I appreciate you listening for as long as you have. It means alot and I hope I can find stories in the future that are more appealing to you!
