its much more detailed than other cameras I have shot for - shot this on the RONIN just letting it run for about 4-5 minutes while doing a couple tacks for good fun. notice the texture on the deck close to the camera and the details in the sail. this thing carries a lot of details.. but really you gotta watch in VR-headset like Meta / Oculus quest2 to really see what it do :-) kzbin.info/www/bejne/rpnOdIBvd9Sigsk

Very nice unboxing, I was watching this on my 4k monitor in 8k and its fun to "look around" your boat while listening to your review :) In that resolution its more or less like being there yourself as the image is very crisp but the audio felt like it was recorded on an internal mic and not the usual audio setup?. What was the unboxing shot on? I was seeing some serious curvy lines on your floor and the handle above your head was also looking kinda curvy. Ps: I miss the drone content but enjoy popping back from time to time to see what you are up to :)

you are naturally right about everything. this was shot on a VuzeXR, which I probably prefer for the “review duty” because of the smaller sensor making everything mostly focused, the canon’s 2.8 lens and fullframe sensor have a significantly shallower DOF. I had expected to use it for unbox’s. but having tried both.. the VuzeXR gets the job for now.. (*or tons of light and f16 maybe LOL) YES you are right again, this was the onboard microphones, if you glance at the WaterLily unbox - you will see audio shot with a shotgun mic to a zoom field recorder, and synced in post (correction you will hear) interesting the lines looking up and down should not bend, they are straight in a VR headset like the oculus quest. This was scaled up using Topaz AI video enhance, which significantly cleaned up the details, the uploaded file is 12x6k, however YT don't offer past 8k - but seems we got a cleaner YT product by giving a better target to render from in the first place. *on the conspiracy topic - while YT shows 8K available for desktop, the Quest YouTUbe app do not offer more than 2160s. (4k). stream, so only about 25% of the actual data in the 8k desktop stream…. quest technically speaking proabbly max out at 5.6 k, thinking they are saving on streaming costs for VR headsets for now. LOL Yeah, really gotta get more drone stuff done, been flying the Pravo360, think that needs a video.

@@Sailing360 Cool :) I have been using the Insta360 One x2 lately for both leisure rides on my motorcycle but also for a customer project (shooting the new Danish Ducati Police motorcycle in action), and I really love the form factor and ease of use. To get the best possible audio, I have gone down the Røde Wireless path and bought the adapter for the X2 so I can put on a lavalier mic for better ambient sound or commentary while riding.

@@LuftdroneDk record the lav's to a zoom in the pocket and just sync in post. BTW old QooCAM 8K are amazing for their image quality....... if they work LOL

@@Sailing360 Well yeah but I like the simplicity of having it all connected and with the adapter, the Røde isnt even visible on the 360 video althought placed on the side of the x2 :)

Im loving it - but based on your experiences im not sure im running it long enough at a time to actually benefit from the cooling fan. and I really wish it had the option to zoom screen for focus in 8K video mode.

LOL you are obsessed with the M480, actually THAT is a very cool bird, one of my favorites, really enjoyed flying it, even though the original FC was a bit disappointing.
