George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Lenny Bruce, Mae West, and many others were arrested in the last century because so many audience members were offended. In 1903 a newspaper editorial announced the death of comedy because audience members were so easily offended. At least no-one is being arrested for their jokes as happened to comedians in those “good old days”. Your statement is demonstrably wrong.
