Looks fabulous! Can't wait to see it all finished. Roofers use a propane heat torch like that to install rubber membrane on flat roofs. You two need to kiss and hug before you leave each other. :)

Wow, that was so interesting. We had a fiberglass pool in Florida, but it was fully formed. They put it on a flat bed truck brought it to our backyard and dropped it into the hole. We had a product called “cool deck” applied so you could walk on the cement deck that was poured around the pool even on the hottest of Florida summer days without burning your feet. I think your method is so different yet so perfect for what you are doing! We could never have had such a huge fiberglass pool as you will have. Fiberglass is so much nicer on your feet that the rougher sprayed gunite , you have the best of both products.

Anna, the sun hitting the chateau is stunning set off by that vivid blue sky, on a beautiful day in January. We just had a blizzard with high winds and 14 degrees Fahrenheit. Anna and Edd- it's early early morning & I'm finally watching the video. Your pool contractor, Bernard, did a great job. Having had a few pools built, I know how long it can take. A blue color will look magnificent, too. Anna is correct about the setting sun's effect on the stone. It is visible in the video to a great extent. Very near the end now, have enjoyed watching this pool being constructed. In the US it is so different, we built a pool only 4miles from the Mississippi River and it was a nightmare.We hit so many underground springs.

I have an unfinished concrete block water feature. 4’wx14’lx1’6”d. It was painted with waterproofing that started chipping away. I never thought about fiberglass as waterproofing. Great idea. I love the wine bottle curving the bottom edge too.
