This is fun and all, but I think... there is a natural disingenuity that occurs when you keep player controlling the defense players and completely miss tackles and move players away from their assignments, leaving players open then in the commentary, say that the defense wasn't coming up. It just kinda looks bad when we see the player control circle appear under a linebacker who then is made to run past the opposing running back and tackle air. I think you should pick a defensive player and play that player rather than switching to each and every player that is near the ball and repeatedly missing tackles.
