I don't understand why, after quarantine, the snakes aren't housed at a zoo or some other officially run location. That way they wouldn't be outside in the environment and wouldn't have to be killed. Such a waste of beautiful creatures!
@themetadaemon4 күн бұрын
The quarantine period would need to be for several years. Reptiles can carry dormant diseases that can erupt after long periods of time. They wouldn't have the resources to keep them that long.

Why is it some peeps think the law applies to everyone but them. Somehow, they are more special; or they think some officer should risk their job and make them the exemption. Ignorance is no excuse. my heart goes out to Elvis, he was clearly young when he got involved with bike thefts and he did his time and seem to have been rehabilitated. He was also fully honest, didn't try to conceal anything, didn't try to emotionally manipulate.... I worked with juvenile convicted of crimes, even violent ones, and with help and guidance they grew up to be just another member of society living a normative life. He deserves a second chance and I really hope he managed to get the correct visa and had no other issues because of his past.

I think the immigration situation should be addressed prior to a person leaving their own country to come here. Why was Elvis, for example, given permission to come here only to be stopped at the airport? I don’t understand it.
@Justgregular88Күн бұрын
the issue was work, he was still allowed to enter Australia as a tourist
@edwardr7520Күн бұрын
No one gets checked leaving a country unless there's some suspicious activity (like trying to get a gun into an airplane illegally). It's up to the destination country to determine if a person is admissible. It's up to the person to approach the receiving country to determine if they are eligible. The customs and immigration of one country can't be expected to know the rules of entry for the other 196 countries or to determine who is allowed to enter other countries.

I don't know what the situation is in Australia, but here in North America with the number of individuals who are living in poverty or who are homeless I would favor giving the clothing to them. Why waste it. Seized cigarettes are destroyed but why not sell them to a retailer who will sell them. Better than simply destroying them and you make a bit of money as well.

You know nothing at all about Sydney..well that's why you wanted to explore it. It's said to be beautiful, so why not have a holiday vacation there, right?.. hmmm...is that so wrong?? 3-4 days vacation abroad is fine, and spending more for it or beyond our salary is like a self-reward.. But then, if you're up to something different, it's a different story then... So maybe next time... when you plan to go somewhere abroad with a tourist visa, make sure to prepare your itinerary.. it's so easy searching thru the internet..it will serve like just a guide..

Relationships used to be less complicated before the internet! You found a boyfriend or girlfriend amongst the people you actually met in reality. Many of these people shown in these videos have travelled halfway across the world to meet someone they have never met before. What if the 'boyfriend' or 'girlfriend' has changed their mind, or you don't find the real person attractive, or he or she doesn't even exist? It's too risky. Find a partner in your own country!

It is impossible that the newly married couple coming from Cuba did not know the rules,regulations & limits for bringing tobacco and seeds into the country. I know this because I’m a frequent Cuba traveler. She, the Aussie, would have entered and exited both Australia and Cuba repeatedly over a lengthy time to meet, date and eventually marry her spouse, the Cuban. She would have well known the rules. They got caught.
