I also found that following the writen out python SDK tutorial a bit easier, i know its hard to make these videos. Its always so hard to see which files go where and with the written out instructions it shows you the file locations super zoomed in

The patch file can be found on either the github or the nexus, simply googling "Borderlands 2 community patch" should come up with either page!

You dont need the community patch, just make sure the mod you want to use is located in your binaries folder and when you go to exec the mod, instead of doing "exec patch.txt" you would do "exec [modname].txt (you dont need the square brackets just the name of the mod file!) sorry for the late reply! hope this helps :)@@markusreed5447

I don't know if it has been said before but in case you're like me and after following the tutorial it says "Acces denied" when trying to save, just relaunch BLCMM as admin, it should work after

Thanks! I remember that at some point, years ago, I was playing with the UCP 5.0 + python mods with no problems between each other; in fact, there was a python mod that automatically loaded the patch file. Have you tried that too? Greetings from Chile. ^^

That would mean that you need to have the Python SDK installed which i have not shown in this video, as i stated this video is purely for the non Python SDK mods! i will get the python tutorial out in the coming week! :)

@@tristonmccalip7808 Could be many things mate, most likely case is mod conflicts which unfortunately i don't know how to solve, best case is to remove all your mods, and add them one at a time till you get the crash from there you know which mod is causing issues :)

I can;t find the patch in the Binaries folder in BLCMM after I drop it in Edit: It's because I went to access the game files the wrong way, though I'm unsure how I can have two completely separate game file locations that both affect the game

Most mods do require you to have all the primary DLC (this is everything except for the skins as they are not required i dont believe)

if you have installed multiple mods along with the patch in the BLCMM then you only need to launch the patch.txt file :)

Windows by default does not show file extensions, it should download as a txt file even if it does not show the extension at the end :)

did you place your mod files in the correct binarys folder, steam -> right click borderlands 2 -> Manage -> Browse Local Files then you want to save your Patch.txt inside the binaries folder that is located in there. if you dont have that folder i cant help you as thats the only way i know how to mod the game, this only works for the steam edition to my knowledge, as i do not own the epic edition so i have no clue on how to mod it :)

is it possible to use BLCMM with the epic games version of BL2 ? i've been trying to install it but BLCMM just won't detect BL2. And i downloaded PythonSDK on my game, it works but i really need the community patch so will it work if i install the patch and where can i install it with PythonSDK ?

If you are already using the PythonSDK mods then simply install the "TextModLoader" mod and install the community patch that way :)

You set the console key when you first install BLCMM, the console key is different for everyone, i personally use F8 but again, its different for everyone

I've been trying to install the bl2 reborn mod using this tutorial and it's just not working. I have moved the bl2reborn file to the right place and checked blcmm to make sure it's there and then when I go into the game and type the command it dosent find the file?

the "exec patch.txt" is purely for the community patch mod file, if you use any other file you need to replace the "patch.txt" part with the full exact name of the mod you are using + its file extension!

When ever i open blcmm it opens fine but when i click launch it closes and if i let it auto launch it still closes ive got java so im not sure what the problem is any solutions? i know i can still use mods without it and i do have mods working without it but it would make launching all the mods easier and faster

If you are having trouble with this method, it would be best to utilise the python sdk method that i linked, with that you can run a mod called "textmodloader" and then can use any BLCMM mods within that method, making it have no need for the console :)

Was following the tutorial and I get to the part that says "setup game files for mods" in the tools bar when clicked it, it gives a long message saying the python sdk can be used and where to download it, but because of this I can't setup the game files to add a console key and execute the Patch.txt any idea on how to get to the settings that should be showing rather than the information and download popup? Edit* Never mind the binding key was moved to the ini teaks option and the along with the other options and the unlock console and remove array limits were moved to the legacy hex edits.

Hi, i hope y'all doing well, i have recently downloaded the game(from steam) and just realised that there is no social button on my game at all, i cant play the game with friends and my game denies any online connection, everytime i try and go online it goes into an eternal loop of connecting, what do i do, is there a fix, ive browsed numerous articles about the same issue but i couldnt find any fix for the problem.

Have you logged into your shift account, ontop of that have you made sure that A. Your steam is online and B. you have a stable internet connection, if you've done all of these things and its still not working unfortunately I can't help you past those suggestions, hope you get things working as BL2 is such a fun game but even its even more fun when you can play it with friends!
