Hey folks! We covered Proving Grounds last week (which is pretty underwhelming) so I spent the last week testing Circle of Slaughter! Hope this is helpful for those who are diving into the end game

Serious question here... I've ran prob 40 hours of slaughter shaft... the COV one, tons if legendaries got some annointed weapons, gave some away... but where the hell is the loot chess in there? I know where the 3000 one is it's easy to find and I've never done the one with the creatures, but seriously I've looked a couple different times for it and never found it.

It's worth noting the cistern of slaughter is locked until you've been to Eden 6, even though it's on Promethea. Just stops players seeing enemies earlier than they show up in the story.

When I played the Slaughterhouse 3000 I didn’t know you could leave the arena to replenish ammo so when I got to the end with my Zane build and ran out of ammo I had to use my clone & drone combo to take out the bosses while I ran laps trying not to go into FFYL lol

I feel the loot is best in Circle of Slaughter vs Slaughter Star 3000 but I like the Maliwan arena better. I think the enemies are more interesting (less rockets and anointed too haha).

best way to farm is to keep repeating round 5. do 4 waves die and repeat again. round 5 can get crazy with loot drops. you will have about 100 legends on the floor after an hour.

I have a moze build with vampyr grenades. I use a electric recurring hex with a bloodletter and transformer shield. My main gun is the flakker. As long as I throw gernades, I can walk through the slaughter star without being downed. The only time it doesn't work is when you get to blue fire and red rain, the hex gernade does not work well on bosses for some reason, so regeneration is brought to a halt. The wall on the left side is good cover against the bomb barrage, just peak out shoot and then duck behind cover. Red rain there is a overhang on the second floor, so you make his missile barrage and guns practically useless. He will hit you with a jump move that deals 20k damage to my shields. Thankfully he doesn't spam it repeatedly before it fully regens. Also there is a bug with the bosses where the loot gets stuck on the platforms they're one. You cannot jump to them to retrieve the legendaries you can cleary see when defeating them. In terms of legendaries drops, there is not many, somewhere around 4-8 per full run. The one thing it is good for is gaurdian ranks. I'm in the 150's and I still get 6-8 ranks per full run.

Here is a build that worked great for me when I did TVMM3 solo. Zane with clone and barrier for dome and shock. Use points for freeze on crits. Then use the Storm sniper rifle. If shoots balls which shocks enemies using... crits. That freezes the mobs while the orbs continue to shock them into oblivion.

@@MrTomkat030 yeah but like he said, if the difficulty to hard for you then just play on a lower one for now and build up to it. Some people think it's better to play on difficulty that there character not ready for thinking they'll get loot faster. But that's actually the slowest way to do.

Prismatic raak change which element they are immune to with a big nova, depending on what you shot them with. Hit with fire, they explode in a big fireball and now they deal fire and take no fire damage. Blue Fire and Red Rain expose a massive red weakpoint in their chest when you break one of their joints. Shoot that while they're stunned.

I didn't realize each circle of slaughter had its own difficulties. I started off with Slaughterstar 3000 and then moved on to the COV one. I had to watch this video to find the third (and apparently easiest) slaughter that was tucked away within Meridan Complex. I was thinking it was getting easier for a weird reason, now I know why 😂

cistern of slaughter has a broken mechanic/exploit, you can lure the rak into the lift, take it to the top and trap them, they don't attack you back and are frozen on the spot lol

I no longer need ammo. If you have moze and invest into the bottomless mags perk with COV weapons, you will never run out of ammo so is good for these arenas.

I always carry Homing grenades that split into 2 grenades and explode up to 3 times if im playing solo. Helps a ton with the flying Raks and helps with crowd control. Trust me, you'll never go back to regular grenades ever again.

There's a container i usually sit behind and recover shield/health, then jump up on it again.. safe and nice :P It's when u come from the spawn and push the plunger you continue straight forward.

I think for each bonus objectives you do, loot is dropped from the sky. I seen that happening in my creature slaughter as he was listing off my bonus objectives at the end with badass mouth guitar solo.

BL1: I hate the moxxi dome so much, but at least i get a skill point, so that is plus so ill force myself to do them. BL2: i hate circle of slaughters but at least they have moxxi weapons so ill force myself to do them. BL3: YES CIRCLE OF SLAUGHTERS, time to farm this over and over, i dont want to do anything else! only Pandora's Slaughter Shaft has decent drops. Still not as efficient as Graveward farming but more fun. The rest ain't close to worth it. Good to focus on cryo. Makes dealing with those rocket launching badass much easier

Idk, with close to 15% luck and the luck relic... I get around 40 or more legendaries in the 15 to 20 min run of slaughter shaft... how many you get from grave in 20 mins? And I'm legit asking... cause I've done both and thought this was way quicker and I didnt have to reload over and over on the boss this way.

While maliwan is most fun to do cause less bullshit, its the worst loot wise. Im gonna put cistern of slaughter in the middle because rounds with rakk or or the flying bugs seem to fly a bit too high and it draws the round out longer than it needs to be. The slaughter shaft is the best loot wise but by far the worst due to how strong the bandit faction is and how frequently they nerf things the player has. I dont like complaining about difficulty but if they could turn explosives down a bit and reduce screen fog when being shot by rocket launchers cause there is alot of spam there it would be nice

Did they buff the slaughter star 3000 bosses? I did them with a friend a while ago on TVHM MH3 and we had both down in under a minute not even going for the crit zones. I used a double penetrating Kill-o-the-wisp, Skeksil, Lyuda and night hawkin if I remember correctly. Also Mirv or Recurring Hex with either shock or radiation damage are really good there.

For me, one of the bosses spawns, but I didn't have to fight it. The doors to the arena opened and the chest in the middle was unlocked. You can still engage the boss but the round effectively ends. I've never killed these bosses yet I've got the achievement for completing all the Circles of Slaughter. I did it under Mayhem I, so not sure if it's a glitch or intentional.

Anyone else getting bugged enemies stuck in the walls in slaughtershaft? Its so fucking annoying I've had to restart my run mid game several times already because the stupid ass anoited enemies that teleport end up getting stuck in a wall or box and I can't reach them not even with a hex grenade or flakker shotgun its drving me crazy 😡

Anointed militant is always immune to all damage. Literally took me five minutes to kill him because he wouldnt stop. Anointed all around need a little change. I am okay with some tougher ones but a grenade that sticks to you and sucks all your life is kinda dumb.

If it's gambling it should be progressive gambling. Like less lame shit after a certain level. If you have a bank full of anointed God rolls, you should get mostly anointed items. A high Guardian rank and hours played would be the prerequisite to qualify. And no cap on skill points, we should be able to max out all three skill trees after the game has been out for a while. Guardian rank would apply here too. Veteran rewards.

If the people are actually stuck under the map, which has happened to me once, you can use grenades that have the blackhole feature and it sucks them out of the ground, I found this out after waiting 15 minutes for the game to move on.

theyre unlocked through storry mode you just have to get to the area first... no need in beating the story to play just got to open up the area on the map
