The concept of this movie was designed, and made during the worst 10 years in Hollywood history due to all of them making the same destructive moves in their movies. This movie I would think is the epitome of the WOKE generation, but they probably cut a ton of stuff out becasue Borderlands "current day" jokes don't age well, but you know they ahd this thing loaded with interesctional feminism, Pride, etc. If they would ahve released this in like 2020 I bet it would be much different then what it ended up as. About the NORMAL MEN clip, there's more lore to it. Apparently the girl was talking about the next show coming up which was Stars on Ice (or something along those lines) and Hacker (the dog) said "but were not stars on ice, we're just normal men". But... To fully grasp why they're almost in tears laughing: before the show was filmed someone from the crew was telling a story of drunken blokes being stopped by the police the night before. The police was accusing them of vandalism and one of the drunk guys was explaining to the police with the words "we're normal men, we're just innocent men". That's why the girl cannot contain herself and when you watch the clip in full the dog is whailing with laughter too. It makes my day eveytime I watch it.

As a huge Borderlands fan that loves the storyline of BL1, BL2, and Tales From The Borderlands. The idea of needing the "best actor in the world" to play a Borderlands character is stupid. It's not a dialogue-heavy political drama. Nothing needs to be that well acted. The movie seems to be following Borderlands 1's story, despite some characters being switched out with Borderlands 2 characters (using their Borderlands 3 designs for some reason). The story of Borderlands 1 in a nutshell is: You arrive on the planet in search of "The Vault." You talk to the locals and help them out by defeating psychopath bandits that are terrorising them. By helping the locals, you earn a vehicle and advance to the higher-ups of the planet. The higher-up's tip you off to the vault and the main villain. You go through hoops of taking out the villains henchmen, as well as some bandit psychopath leaders. You get to the vault and fight the villain, and an alien monster that's inside the vault. Set up a sequel with an evil corporation that's going to fly in and take over the planet, since you've already wiped out most of the threats. If you make the locals likeable, build the Bandit Leaders up to be terrifying, build up the mystery of the vault and the main villain, and make the main characters become more confident and badass as they progress, you've got a solid movie.

@sidescrollerspodcast Craig, I looked up the so registration law in Deleware. As far as I can tell it has nothing to do with his crime being ‘dropped’ but that he would be removed from the registration after 15 years if no other offenses or issues occurred. Per the Delaware law they remain for 15 years. Thus he was charged, found guilty (or plead so) and was required by law to register and update yearly for 15 years. Based on the timeline info given by his brother in law that fits the 15 year law. He didn’t have his charges dropped. He was found guilty, registered and will remain on registry for 15 years for the crime. So frankly I don’t care what his story was, what his brother in law says or anything else. He committed a so against a child. Period.

You can sue someone, but has to provide evidences+witness, green light by the judge and then goes to court. Charges will collapse if the legit material can't be bring forward for certain of time. Additionally, the same charges cannot be repeated upon the defender by the accuser. This is mechanism to protect false charge. Problem for defender who accused as S-Offender, they have to be registered as one (RSO), until the charge dropped, from winning in the court, or the accuser cannot provide evidence for sometime.

So that makes the beast employee 16 at the time of the incident. And was part of a group accused. This is a tricky one as the accused was a child too. Given these very vague details there is a whole spectrum of ways this could have played out from someone who was a childhood monster to someone who got railroaded into a plea deal by association and was too young to understand the consequences long term and didn't want to risk a 16 year old crying girl on the stand against a jury. Given a testimony by a guy who trusts young female children in this persons care, i'm thinking this might be a lot of smoke and no fire...

Exactly as I expected. I thought it has to be pure fan service... constant, accurate references to the game and a direct transcription of the story or it would be terrible. I get it, they need it to appeal to an audience beyond Borderlands nerds. But why would anyone but Borderlands nerds want to see this movie? How would you know... unless you know, so how do you market it to normies? Its tough. Its the same thing all these Anime and video game interpretations go. They end up mediocre at best. Borderlands should be a 10 episode series, and be exactly what its supposed to be. For the fans, for the geeks who are gonna appreciate it. And it will go down as a beloved series and be praised by all the geek channels... or it can be a halfass movie that sets off the community and ends up ripped apart by Nerdrotic and Mauler and Geeks n Gamers amd SideScrollers and idiots like Synthetic Man, while all the shill gaming news outlets claim everyone is a bigot if they don't like it.... just cus Ryan Kinnel says it sucks 😆... they are obligated to disagree with him... and it will be that Borderlands movie that was so bad it caused a huge, exaggerated internet argument and got attached to gamergate 2. 😂 Cus thats whats gonna happen. Just watch. Most people are gonna have a problem with the way the charachters were written and acted, and then 3 dumbasses will say Tina is supposed to be skinny, and Lillith is only 26 or whatever it is.... and it will be an -ism meltdown and suddenly you gotta love Borderlands or you are basicly Hitler. Something ONLY the Borderlands nerds cared about... til they made a subpar movie about it... will be the fervent focus of a bunch of people who don't even know its a game.
