I feel like they're talking about "incidental taxes" like sales tax and stuff you literally can't avoid. Even tourists pay sales tax. Ive heard that some states like CA give illegals tax IDs and even regular IDs, but it doesn't make sense to me how they would enforce taxes on someone who's technically not even supposed to be working. Even if they are paying income tax, they took an American job and depressed the wages, and want us to be grateful that they paid taxes which is just the law.

From watching judge shows in Texas, it looks like you pretty much have to be arrested, convicted and in jail before ICE will possibly pick up on the name and then place a detention order on them. May sound obvious, but what I thought was interesting was that up until that point, the arresting officers, DA, and judge almost don't want to know if they're illegal immigrant. In their defense, they also have an attitude of wanting to make them pay for the crime they were arrested for and THEN any other agency can do what they want.

My parents immigrated legally paid double tax’s for 10 years and went through the process of becoming citizens so because my siblings and I were kids we got or citizenship granted thru my parents getting their citizenship, my parents fought to become citizens and be productive members of our community. I had to have a permit from each government in my passport and it had limitations of rights and duration. I don't understand the immigrants that have been here since the 70's yet don't apply for citizenship in the U.S. Now they are panicking, claiming it's unfair. My grandparents and parents are immigrants from Cuba and Ireland. They went through the proper channels and did not come here illegally. They became citizens had to work hard, without free handouts and services. It's the handouts and free services the illegal immigrants have been living off while staying in this country and would lose those privileges if they did become a citizen.
