This is a very good interview. I was pleasantly surprised. Good job, Borders! Jewel is a pleasure to listen, too.

She seems like she's grown into herself so much over the years. Watching this compared to her earlier interviews, she just seems so much more comfortable in her own skin.

I wish Jewel would stay who she is, like in this interview. It encourages me to be who I am; I love her inperfections, they make her more beautiful. It takes so much courage to stay unique and connected when your surrounded by plastic and artificial people. That 's why I love poetry; I also love Alaska and horses. They help one stay connected to your spark.

I love Atz Lee and Jewel performing together. I love his wife, her sister in law Jane! Jane refuses to put the kids in the Alaska show because of all the fame. She protects their privacy even though they live off the grid. Very cool family!!!

Fortunate childhood. I don’t know why, but she seemed distant and harsh when on the panel with Simon Crowell.

She has spoken about how her parents divorced, she ended up living with her Dad, who was alcoholic and abusive, as well as these positive things. And her mother came back into her life when she got famous and stole/spent all her money. But I think she remembers the fortunate times and learned music and performance with her Dad, has made peace with him. So mixed fortune and misfortune in her childhood/young adulthood

One thing about Jewel, she has never Known Her Father for Atz Kilcher is Not Her Father he is The Man that Raised Her, Her Biological Father has Not Ever Been Allowed to Know Her And That’s the Truth So Help Me GOD Oh I was near her once, Sean Penn was with her in a Bar (it closed two. Weeks after Sean Penn took the picture in it) I was playing 🎱 with a friend who was so 🥴 drunk he don’t remember or refuses to remember, Sean Penn and a girl 👧 walked in and she was drinking Jack Daniels out of the bottle looking at me and she Pissed Her Pants 👖 I actually watcher her piss her pants, ten years later I bought her book 📖 called “Chasing down the Dawn” and I saw the picture with the Caption, “Glamour of the Road, Somewhere USA” and in that picture you can see she Pissed Her Pants It’s the only memory I have Being Near My Biological Daughter Jewel!!!!! That’s right My Daughter I have Never been Allowed to Know I’m the person mentioned in the Song “Enter from the East” I met her Mother Lanedra Carroll who was with Her Brother at an LRY Conference in Toronto Canada September 1,1973 Her (Nedra’s) Brother gave me his sisters hand in marriage that Night and that Brother is Atz Kilcher They went home to Alaska the very next day and Nedra refused to write down her address for me telling me I have to write to her or I’ll never hear from her again!!!!!!!! That’s the Foolish Games Of Her Song I came home to NiagaraFalls and walked into the kitchen and told my mother I got married in Toronto Canada 🇨🇦 and my mom asked what kind of church is that you get married and your wife leaves your side, well in my first attempt to go to Alaska was during Christmas vacation 1973 I got about 40 miles away from home and nearly froze to death 💀 (I would have been better off if I died) well soon after I became Dr. Phil McGraw’s first patient when he was an intern fresh out of College January 1974, I was prescribed Lithium to make me forget what my family called my imaginary wife. Then a week after I failed my Senior Year of High School I heard a whisper that the girl in Alaska had a daughter named Jewel, in my second attempt the very next morning my Older Brother asked and who did you hear that from the girl that told mom she didn’t know what you were talking about on the phone and hung up on her. I replied Yes!!!! Then my brother said “Look Mike I spent two years in a radar station in Alaska (1966-1968) and never had a girlfriend let alone a wife and you come home from Toronto with this outrageous story of an imaginary wife and now you have an imaginary daughter named Jewelry “ I replied No John her name is Jewel and if I don’t get to go to Alaska to see her it’s going to comeback and Haunt is. Well back to the hospital for me and in the backseat of my dad’s car I ate a whole sheet of 100 hits of LSD trying to kill Myself because I couldn’t go to Alaska to see my daughter, the hospital gave me Lithium and electric ⚡️ shock treatments to make me forget what my family called my imaginary wife and daughter Jewelry. Next thing I know I woke up out of that Acid Trip August 25,1974 at the Special Olympics after I won my third medal 🎖 two gold and one silver medals 🏅 I don’t know what was said to them if anything at all and the only time I wrote to Jewel or her Mother was in November 2001 after I bought her Poem book and first two CD’s Pieces of You & Spirit. And I ordered her second book from her fan club January 2002 That’s the Truth the Whole Truth So Help Me GOD on My Mother’s Grave who passed away June 16,1992 five days after my birthday and two days after my brother John’s birthday and John Died two days before my mom’s birthday October 16,2004 and his first born granddaughter died at a daycare center in North Tonawanda NY on top of a Swimming pool cover October 23,2000 five days after my mother’s birthday and Hillary Clinton passed a law in that 23, month old girls name about swimming pool at daycare centers and you know how I found out my brother had a granddaughter “I read it in the Obituary and I wasn’t allowed to go to her funeral ⚰️RIP Alyssa Orzolick
