It's Raining Corn! -

Border View Farms is a mid sized family farm that sits on the Ohio-Michigan border. We raise corn, soybeans, and wheat on a little over 3,000 acres.
My name is Nathan. I run this channel and farm with my dad, Mark and uncle, Phil. I started making these videos in the fall of 2019 as a way to help show what I do on a daily basis as a farmer. I get questions about how and why we do things on the farm frequently, even from my own family members, so to help explain things it's easier to just show you. I hope that I can address questions or concerns that you might have about farms and agriculture in general as well as dispel some of the common misconceptions.

Great plot and thanks for sharing. Did my plot for corn yesterday and it ran from 20.7 to 29.5 for moisture . didn't try the beans cause someone did some in the area and the word was 22%. We could uses some dryer weather. O well. thank again

Please go back to the video when you were estimating corn yields and see how it compares to the actual yields.

Nathan, I was just wondering how clean all of the equipment has to be when you switch back and forth between corn and beans so frequently. Thank you for showing some of the advance harvest programing. I thought it would be set it and forget it but in reality it requires operator input to make the magic happen. Proving that garbage in is garbage out.

CHET Larson replaced the end row munchers cuz they were bunching up kinda LIKE your row seems to be, ummmm get the puller, was his suggestion or something like that... I don't know if his end rows had SLACK in it like the one you are having trouble with at 11:50 BUT they were gettin problms with bunching and that remidied it, I hope it's just the rollers and not the gears n stuff DEEPER !!!!!!!!!!! :) good luck! :)

I like to see someone else that values their beautiful green equipments paint as much as I do. Make sure you trim the trees before next planting. Also don't plant that close to the water. To someone a thousand miles Southeast, that only gets snippets of info, it appears to me you're having pretty good yields, would you agree? "Nothing Runs Like A Deere" 🦌👍🇺🇸
