I got back into from the depth after a few months and beam slopes were something I always wanted

Just to highlight a few fun things about beamslopes; they get to double-dip on the protection they offer. Because AP shells do reduced damage to sharp angles on blocks, beamslopes basically have bonus health against AP. Plus, you get to have *more layers* of armor, by being clever with how you do those layers you can actually get *more* armor stacking bonus armor by using them too, mix them up with full beams for great effect ^^ But really the HA beamslopes are just great in ASHES, since trading weight and cost, for less volume and more health -compared to Metal- is stellar, outside of Ashes they're better used for very specific purposes, not general use.

@Borderwise So actually, the damage reduction from a slope carries through to the next airgap. You're still -part- right about the flat surface on two back to back beam slopes... but if a shell destroys the first, the damage reduction from that slope is still there when it applies its damage to the second. This is something I learned watching some of Bungalow Bill's videos back when you were building the Titanslang. If a shell destroys the first piece of angled armor, the damage to any following will be reduced until an airgap is reached. But, true- if a shell destroys a slope, the -next- shell to come in is going to have a flat target that isn't giving that angled damage reduction, assuming it's roughly the same angle.
