I love that someone is still making tutorials on the game. I still remember when Custom Cannons were a thing. To say the least, those tutorials are heavily outdated

That's some nice mimic work on that Bazooka. Hydrofoil azipods sound like a good idea, one on the front, another on the back and you don't have to worry about turning thrusters. I now feel inspired to go build a hydrofoil "hover" tank...
@YEAHKINDA6 ай бұрын
A cursed inbetween of the azipod and hull mount is to make a stick underwater and shove all your hydrofoils along said stick. Mostly useful on catamaran/trimaran hulls where you can have multiple sticks. Lets you keep redundancy, lets you stay high above the water, and doesn't waste much materials on armoring them.

Just looking at this to see how I am doing with my current Adventure craft, Since it is a massive pancake laser ship with the Hydrofoils to keep the ship up. A lot of them infact.

@@BorderWise12 I do have a version of it up on the workshop to look at. Pegasus VII, really I have it up at VIII version now, with a rework of the laser system Though like the most recent rainbow ship I am not sure it will be in the level your PC can have.

On the surface hydrofoils are simple. In reality they either cause a craft to keep trying to drown itself or fly into the sun.
@BorderWise123 жыл бұрын
And that's why, as shown in the video, you don't rely ONLY on hydrofoils for control unless you don't mind your craft doing exactly those two things. 😁

Ditch the foils for air pump fraction control altitude PID setting the fake point to negative numbers using mean sea level. Or directly use propellers for altitude using PID that responds to propulsion vertical. This setup can be used for thrustercraft at any altitude.

Every time I try to make a shorter FtD video, people complain that I've missed things out. That's what the time stamps are for: skipping straight to the part you want to see. As for 'nobody watching them', the thousands of views say otherwise.

No, but KZbin analytics does. People watch for long enough, trust me. Believe it or not, I do try to keep things brief. But there is no conceivable way I could edit most FtD topics down to just 10 minutes and still pass on enough information to help people.
